I have done everything you suggested (some even beforehand) and I have decided that I have spent too much of my time trying to rectify this problem.

Therefore I have chosen to de-activate and uninstall the plug-in(s) as there are other options now in place and running smoothly.

I appreciate all the time you have allotted to this thread.

After disabling analytics module, the dashboard overview shows:
Search Funnel
(In red box) Data Error in Search Console – Invalid module slug.
(In red box) Data error in Search Console – Invalid module slug.
(In blue) Set Up Analytics.

Acquisition
(In red box) Data Error in Search Console – Invalid module slug.

Setting up Analytics just results in another message in red – Error: Invalid module slug – while also making reference to the availability of Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

Under the Site Kit settings page I see that “Search Console is connected” but “Analytics is not connected”.

I had already reset Site Kit and deactivated “Global Site Tag Tracking” to no avail.

I have also tried purging the cache, and also updated Site Kit to 1.38.1.

The error remains.

I still don’t know what you mean by “connecting/disconnecting the analytics module”? How do I do this? When I click on the Analytics link under Site Kit in the left hand column I just get the following:

Error: Invalid module slug.
Error: Invalid module slug.
An existing Universal Analytics tag was found on your site with the ID UA-10408395-4.

When checking the page source code there is a different ID UA number and I can’t find out how to change it…

Any ideas?

After carrying out your instructions, the same error remains.
I am not sure how to ‘disconnect Analytics Module’. By ‘module’ do you mean plugin?
After clicking Site Kit > Analytics, it tells me that I haven’t completed the analytics activation.
Then on clicking ‘Complete Setup’ it shows “Error: Invalid module slug” (twice). “An existing Universal tag was found on your site with the ID UA-xxxxxxxx-4”. I have installed this tag using the plugin “Global Site Tag Tracking” in accordance with my Google Search account. Might there be some sort of conflict happening?
When I click on ‘Search Module’ same thing – ‘Invalid Module Slug’.
What I have found is that the page source shows a different tracking ID to the correct google Search console tracking ID, and I cannot seem to be able to find it when searching my file manager! I do not know how to change this.
