A similar situation occurred to me today. I installed a couple of slider plugins to try them out which included MetaSlider and Ultimate Responsive Image Slider. After testing, I found that I liked MetaSlider better and as soon as I deactivated the Ultimate Responsive Image Slider, the two sliders I created with MetaSlider stopped working and only showed the shortcode. It seems crazy that I have to keep an unused plugin on my site just to keep MetaSlider working. I sure hope someone figures this out soon.

I finally figured this out. I had to add the below code to the wp-config file and then add the tmp directory to the wp-content folder. For some reason, both of these things were missing and I don’t know why. Maybe a bad or incomplete update in the past?

Yes, I’m getting the same error but haven’t come across a resolution yet.

I meant to say this is only an issue on mobile phones and only for the home page. Every other page on every other device is fine and the cache will clear.

Please tell me someone has found a solution to this. This is happening to the home page of one of my sites.

The resave didn’t work, but I just rechecked and it’s gone now. Thank you for the fast reply though. This might be a good thing to display to the user during the upgrade process. It would have been nice to know that there would be a very slight waiting period.

Sorry Mickey, no luck this time either. I’m sure it’s something I must be doing wrong. It’s not a big deal though. I’m not a plugin or theme author and just thought this would be useful for the stats piece. As long as it’s working for everyone else, that’s more important. Take care

No really. Just for spam and login lockdown. I tried disabling both and it didn’t make a difference. I think I’ll just give up for now, but I sure did like the idea of this plugin. Thank you for the suggestion.

I just found out the reason this happened was due to the fact that it doesn’t track logged in users and this is why the successful message did not display. I logged out of the site and retested and now the message appears.

That’s what I don’t understand. My client’s site isn’t that active. I’ve been updating several pages very quickly and that seems to be setting it off after about 30-40 minutes of working. It just seems crazy that something as minor as page and post updates could cause this. I also noticed that the pages of the site load pretty slowly. I’ve never encountered anything like this is the about 10 years I’ve been working with WordPress sites.

Did you ever figure this out? I just came across the same type of issue. I get locked out of my site for an hour before it comes back up. Just curious who your host is. Mine is StartLogic.

I noticed this too and on more than one site. I wonder if they’ve moved this to the paid version only.
