Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Autoloaded options issue in site HealthTHANK YOU @misselenat – for your excellent tip showing how to modify the autoloaded options limit in the wp-admin file (that you specified more precisely in your comment above in this thread). Yes, I understand this is a temporary fix that will get overwritten every time WordPress is updated, but – I like that. I want to know when WORDPRESS corrects this issue in a future update – versus my including code in functions.php that could sit there long past its being needed. I much prefer that WordPress provides the actual long term fix. Anyway, dear @misselenat, you’re the best!

YES! It is fixed in 2.7.4.2. I didn’t see it at first because my cache was fooling me. When I tried a second time, I did a manual purge of my SiteGround cache, right before updating to 2.7.4.2, and Soliloquy Lite started working again.
It seems the author just updated 2.7.4.2 files instead of issuing a new version – so the fix was hidden by a cache (and flagged by Wordfence as a security risk!).

Not resolved in 2.7.4.2. I just realized today my sliders aren’t working. They never load. The progress circle keeps going around in a circle.
So I did install a rollback plugin that worked great. Now I just have a vulnerability due to the non updated plugin. BUT this is a fine work around for now — so we can enjoy our holidays.

@scirceo Check out the comment from jrivett in this Collapse-o-matic support thread (Collapse-o-matic is retiring): https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/collapse-o-matic-users-replacement-plugins/
With the HTML details/summary tag, you can make the linking tag whatever you want. Here’s the W3C description too: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_summary.asp- This reply was modified 1 year, 2 months ago by susantau.
Ah, I see. I was just hoping there might be a trick, or even a pro version that lets you vary the text in the links from instance to instance.
Really appreciate your taking the time to respond to my question. Thanks!

In reply to: [Collapse-O-Matic] Security vulnerability? In that other thread I read that you may be hanging up the Collapse-O-Matic guns, which I’m sorry to hear (but I understand), could you recommend another plugin that has very similar functionality?
I have found this info from WPBeginner:

In reply to: [Simple Custom Post Order] Not workingThanks for your response – which I somehow missed a few weeks back. I figured out a work around but I can’t remember what that was. This is not the first time I’ve run into this problemwith SCPO – if it happens again, I will make sure to provide you with more info to help you understand the problem better.

??Good news! As of this morning (Mar 29), the erroneous security alerts for UpdraftPlus are no longer displaying in ManageWP. :-))

I don’t know if there is a relationship to the Patchstack lapse, but what I’m experiencing in ManageWP sounds strikingly parallel. I use ManageWP to manage 17 of my websites, which all use UpdraftPlus. And all have been marked with a security alert since just before 1.23.3 was released. After I read that 1.23.3 corrects a vulnerability in the previous version, I was surprised the ManageWP warnings had not vanished after the update to 1.23.3. So I contacted ManageWP Support – they say their developers are working on it, but it’s now a week since they told me this. I wonder if ManageWP is also relying on Patchstack or similar, and that’s why it’s taking them forever to correct this erroneous flagging of UpdraftPlus. Well, I just thought it could possibly be useful to report this to UpdraftPlus support.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Can’t import Google Calendar to The Events CalendarHi Darian, Thanks, yes, this is basically resolved. I submitted a ticket to your HelpDesk a couple weeks ago and received excellent support there. For more info to anyone curious about this post, you can see my other post here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/importing-google-calendar-using-ec-pro/#post-16359524

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] not allowed to access to Help pageHi Darian, Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, since I posted the above question, my client decided against going with The Events Calendar — so I won’t need to pursue this issue anymore.
But in case you are interested in passing this info on to your team: the Help link I was asking about is NOT the one you sent the screenshot of. It’s in the drop down menu under Events, which appears in the admin menu at the very top of the page when one is viewing a displayed calendar. And yes, I am admin, and we were using the free version of Events Calendar, but we were also using a fully licensed Event Aggregator. So I was surprised to see “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” when I clicked on Help.
Good luck with everything!
Thanks again,
Susan- This reply was modified 1 year, 10 months ago by susantau.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Importing Google Calendar using EC ProYes, I submitted a ticket to your HelpDesk a few days ago and have been dialoguing with one of your very helpful support representative. What I hadn’t realized is that I can use the free version of Events Calendar (don’t need to purchase Pro) to be able to import Google Calendar events, but I did need to purchase the add-on “Event Aggregator”. I am now able to import my Google Calendar events in a few easy clicks. Thanks!
