In reply to: create new directorySure — just tell me where to send it. I guess if you leave a comment on my blog, your email address would be private.
Thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: create new directoryDo I load the wordpress file into the directory “reviews”, under wordpress?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: create new directoryOK, I see what you mean. I created a “directory” in filezilla like this
Go to the folder in filezilla that currently contains things like wp-admin,
wp-includes, wp-content etc – then right click, create directory – call it
reviews or whatever – then double click on the reviews folder to open it.Then just download wordpress on your computer, open the wordpress folder,
select everything in it (ctrl-a is a good shortcut) then drag it into your
reviews folder in filezilla ?? If it asks you if you want to overwrite
something then STOP STOP STOP – means you’re accidentally dragging the files
into your existing blog directory. That’s what I have now. — but I think I’m missing a step, because I cannot post from there. It says, file not found.

In reply to: create new directoryI’m thinking — about your suggestion. I don’t think that would work. I need a separate web page, still connected to my blog that will only show reviews. They should not be on https://www.susiej.com
rather on https://www.susiej.com/reviewsForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: create new directoryOK. Thank you. Fixed that.
Should I delete the directory “reviews” under wordpress in filezilla?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: slash websiteActually, it’s https://www.susiej.com/wordpress/reviews/wordpress — and then it changes my theme to the default wordpress theme.

In reply to: Rss errorI checked the site error’s https://benjamin.smedbergs.us/wordpress-atom-1.0/, and it said I should install a plug in for wordpress, but it doesn’t say what version of wordpress it’s for — so I”m not sure if it will work:
Here’s what the site says:
Atom 1.0 for WordPress
Author: Benjamin SmedbergI’ve taken James Snell’s Atom 1.0 templates for WordPress, fixed them up a little bit, and packaged them as a plugin (instead of replacing the files in the WordPress install, which makes it hard to upgrade WordPress).
Installation Instructions1. Unpack version 0.6 into your wp-content/plugins directory.
2. In the WordPress administration panel, enable the plugin.Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Backup .htaccess fileDoing that. Now I’m wondering what the wordpress backup plug-in is for?
Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Backup .htaccess fileI very much appreciate your help. There is only one yellow folder, out of the 10 listed in filezilla that says WordPress — and that is the only one I need to download to my hard drive?
Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Backup .htaccess fileIf copy each yellow folder from filezilla (i.e., private,_ vti_cnf, vti_log, wordpress, etc.) to my harddrive, that’s a backup? That’s easy.
I’m not finding the specific .htaccess file on filezilla.

In reply to: Backup .htaccess fileSo, in filezilla, how would I do that?
