Hi Simon,
Here’s an update as promised – despite this was a false-positive notice, we just released a patch in version 1.2.5. (as it also figures on PatchStack), so please just upgrade Your plugin to its latest version.
Thanks again for reaching out!
Best Regards,
- Lorand.
Hi there,
First of all thanks for letting us know!We just reached out PatchStack for further details, yet after giving the plugin a deeper look we have arrived at the conclusion that this is a false-positive alert (due to the reasons detailed below).
- to attach & authorize an SVGator account to the WordPress plugin the request must be originated from app.svgator.com domain (so it’s not enough to get malicious code running on the wordpress installation itself)
- In the current setup only administrators can access the SVGator plugin yet one admin can revoke other admin’s rights directly from the UI
Despite the fact that we strongly believe there is no actual risks, we are planning an update to address the theoretical issue as well as making PatchStack’s mVDP part of the process.
We will keep You updated!
Best,
- Lorand.
That’s great, thanks for letting us know!
We just ran some tests and it seems like Safari isn’t supporting SVG animations that were added with an img tag. Could you please also try the same with an <object> tag?

Hi there! Unfortunately, GeneratePress doesn’t allow the use of SVG animations in the header. It adds them with an
tag, which means that files exported with JavaScript as the animation type will not work. However, you can also export your animations from SVGator with CSS as the animation type. In that case, there’s no need to use our plugin or to convert the file.
Hi there! Thank you for letting us know, it was an error on our end. ??
We just fixed it. Please try again!Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [SVGator - Add Animated SVG Easily] Animation dont start.Dear @symbiocreativo,
We are looking into the given issue to understand why the tag is not replaced as supposed in this case.
Meanwhile, You can re-export your SVG using CSS animators & replace the current one on your page to make it work.
The given animation works well with your free plan as well; we suspect the issue is due to a conflict with another plugin of yours. Could you please let us know what other plugins are you currently using?
Regards!
