Hi Adam,

Well, no success again. When i type the URL you suggested after being redirected it simply logs me out of my WP admin.

And yes, I tried resetting the plugin, deleting it, then installing it again and I reach the same point.

Have you got anything else up your sleeve? ??

I added the www prefix and tried to setup SiteKit again. At first it had some problem with cache but after I flushed it went to the end but again fails to sign in and redirects back to:

https://www.lodkata.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-splash&notification=authentication_success

Thank you for the efforts.

I tried disabling all plugins including Redirections and it makes no change.

Actually another person developped the theme of the site (based on Storefront) for us and he put the plugin. As far as I get it automatically creates redirecrions when a post URL changes so that there are no 301 errors. I will paste below a smple of the redirects listed in its settings. There is an option to export all of them as csv or json… But it doesn’t have any redirect or change of the wp-admin path.

I tried a reset with all plugins disabled – still the same issue.

OK, I tried to setup the Site Kit on the test WP and it worked. I started to install some of the plugins I use and so far no issue…

Then I disabled ALL the plugins on my website safe from Site Kit and it still wouldn’t sign in… Strange!

1. No I haven’t done any of these… Recently I only changed my PHP version of the site up from 7.2 to 8.0…

2. I tried signing in in Troubleshooting mode but it is the same.

3. I start at https://lodkata.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-splash

After I give consent and try to login with my Google account I am redirected here:

https://lodkata.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-splash&notification=authentication_success

But the screen is the same and I again have the two buttons: Sign in with Google and Reset.

Thanks for reaching out. Well, yes I figured some workaround, although when the window of the browser is narrower or on the mobile version toolbar again looks messy.

But I guess I’ll have to read a lot more to make it decent and responsive there. If you have tips for that, they are more than welcome ??

The problem was a missing line in the functions.php (after my clumsy editting, that is) calling the custom css.

I am using 2.4.9 currently . I may try and update to the latest to see if that settles it?

The only thing that changes when I turn off w3 is that for some reason my permalinks mess up a bit as it tries to add /bg/ and /en/ in the address to signify the language – things that I have disabled…

Otherwise the menu stays top aligned… If you think that may help you with theme development, I can give admin access (here’s to say great theme – I love all the functionalities).

My custom css box in the theme’s advanced settings is completely empty, safe from the sniplet of code I just pasted…

I just emptied cache, then disabled w3 total cache plugin, but nothing changed…

And just to say that a week ago it was centered. I was adding some code to enable paypal payments in BGN when I noticed it is alligned to top. I can’t see how can that be connected though…

I guess I’ll have to scratch my head a bit more with it…
