In reply to: Remember Me doesn’t remember meYou can count me as another who’s suffering from this…but IE doesn’t work either.
Neither IE nor Firefox remembers me. I’ve deleted the cookies to no effect.

In reply to: firefox logging inI have a problem where I always get the login screen, no matter whether I say to remember me or not. Very irritating!
I’ve tried deleting the old cookies – no effect. It’s like they’re not even there.

In reply to: PDA hackI’d be interested in this as well – I use mo:blog right now, which is ok, but I’d prefer to use the editor built into WP, silly as that might sound ??

In reply to: Multiple blogs in multiple directories causing RSS problem? Thanks!
Ok, I took the line out of Youngfisher’s htaccess file that redirected /feed/ to feedburner. Now when I put https://www.politry.com/feed/ in a feedreader I get the correct feed.
Bloglines still cannot find a feed on the youngfisher site, though, which has me way confused.
I’m using an identical template on lornitropia.net, and bloglines has no problems with it.

In reply to: Looking for feedback on layout, design, etc.Ok – I’ve seen it! Thanks!

In reply to: Looking for feedback on layout, design, etc.I looked – the word “absolute” isn’t in my .css file…
I added a footer div around the credit section, but that just divided it up into pieces. The “powered by” ends up near the top, the “WordPress” ends up under the menu, and the border is gone.
I’ve still got a lot to learn about CSS ??Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Looking for feedback on layout, design, etc.Ok, I got it centered in Firefox, but I cannot figure out how to get the credit class to stay on the bottom…

In reply to: Looking for feedback on layout, design, etc.Hmmm…yup! That stinks!
For some reason the WP credit line goes to the bottom in IE, but doesn’t in FF…
Anyone have any idea why?Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: My SiteVery nice! I like the lists along the side, “In Rotation”, etc. How’d you do that?

In reply to: Why blog?I’ve always wanted to publish something, I was just never really sure what. Then I got into a new field at work (competitive intelligence) and realized that most of the “official” stuff being published on it was so academically indecipherable I thought a more common-man voice might be useful, and I had a few ideas for short articles. Then I thought of other things to write, and decided a blog was the way to publish myself ?? I’m still well into the getting-started stage though.
I’m also interested to learn more of the technical side, I was an admin for a few years a long time ago and I missing messing with computers for the fun of it. But right now CSS is driving me nuts…
At this point I have 54 unique visitors and ~150 visits in December. AND I’ve made $.90 off the google ads! Not that I ever expect to make remotely serious money from this, but for some reason that 9/10 of a dollar means a lot.
