I am not finding that the plugin works at all. I should have had several backups placed in my Dropbox folder by now, and instead see only one. Not only that, but it doesn’t zip the files into a manageable entity, but instead, splatters all the files in the Dropbox. I have since replaced the plugin with another and will do the uploading to Dropbox manually. Too bad.
I’m not having this problem, but in reading about it, I’m wondering if the sql db is actually being backed up. When I look on Dropbox and see the files, I don’t see anything that looks like it’s the database. What should I be looking for? (9.3)
Thanks for your response. I discovered that I had a plugin conflict with a plugin called Quick Post Widget. A colleague is now using your calendar on Headway 3.1 and it works well for her. So it does work, as long as you don’t also use Quick Post Widget or any of the front end posting/editing/submission plugins. I ended up going with Ajax Event Calendar. By the time I realized about the plugin conflict I was too exhausted to fiddle around anymore. Thanks again.
Just to follow up, this plugin did the job partially. It got rid of the unwanted latest posts on the home page, cleared the archives and the blog index of these posts. That’s a big help.
Unfortunately, it did nothing to hide the category itself from the Topic list on all blog pages. Also, when you click the link for that category/topic on that list it take you to the an archive for that category (https://housepetality-petsitting.com/wordpress/category/testimonials) but it is devoid of posts. So I’d like to hide any mention of testimonials in any category list.
I just tried to do it by hand by editing the php in wp-includes>default-widgets.php following some instructions, but it not only didn’t remove the category, but is also caused the posts to show up again on the home page, etc. I have fixed that, but can’t seem to hide the category.
Any other ideas?
I will. Thank you @vtxyzzy.
