In reply to: Blank screen when attempting to loginOkay, well that seemed to work, but I’m not sure why a problem with the theme would cause me to be unable to log into the site, but have no effect on the site itself. weird. Anyway, I was planning on installing a new theme anyway, so if I’m able to do that, I’ll close this thread.

In reply to: Blank screen when attempting to loginNo, I didn’t rename the theme folder. The only thing I did when I got my error was try to add an image to the left of my RSS button.

In reply to: Apparently, I have malwareOk, so what I did was re-download WordPress 2.7, and uploaded a brand new index.php to my root directory. (keeping a copy of the old one just in case) and this SEEMS to have fixed my malware problem.
Can anyone confirm that the problem is fixed?

In reply to: Apparently, I have malwareI would also like to reiterate that this wasn’t in the theme folder, it was in the directory that I installed wordpress into.

In reply to: Apparently, I have malwareOk, I found the script in question. It is located in index.php, which is in the main wordpress directory. The same folder that has the wordpress readme, and the folders wp_admin, wp_content, and wp_includes. When I tried deleting the script, my site went completely blank. So I’m completely stumped now. Suggestions???

In reply to: I want timestamps, but only on postsok, I think I’m in way over my head here. I personally haven’t been able to locate anything in my files that looks like hacked code, including the excerpt that you mentioned earlier LenK.
Right now, I’m looking at MySQL, and all of this is just a little advanced for me. Is there an easier way to narrow down what might be causing these infections?

In reply to: I want timestamps, but only on postsSuccess!
Thanks a million LenK.
My theme isn’t set up exactly as you had specified, so I’ll explain what I did in case other people come here with the same problem.
My theme only had one template for all posts and pages. What I did was duplicate the index file, and when I renamed it to “page.php”, wordpress recognized that it would be the template for pages, and not posts. From there, I was able to make all of the changes I wanted to, so that pages could look different from posts.

In reply to: I want timestamps, but only on postsmalware? well, I’m more of a creative person than a technical person, so a lot of this is brand new to me. What should I do?
And thanks for the advice LenK. I truly appreciate it, and I’ll get to work on it to see if it works.
