    Dear customer,
    It seems that PHP standard “Phar” extension is disabled on your server.
    Our plugin uses “Phar” extension for creating “.tar or .zip” files.
    You can ask your hosting provider to install/activate that extension. Don’t worry, that’s a common issue and easy to fix. After installing please deactivate the plugin, activate it again, and try to create your first backup.
    If something goes wrong, don’t hesitate and contact us.
    We will do our best to solve the issues appeared on your side.

    Dear user,
    You cannot switch off the local storage because it allows to send the necessary information to the cloud storage and makes corresponding synchronization.

    But you can still have only one local backup. For doing that, please follow steps below:

    ? Navigate to “Settings” section
    ? Select “Options” tab
    ? Choose the number of backups that you want to keep on the server (Note: the history will keep
    the top N recently created records on your local server)

    ? Finally push “Save” button

    Dear lupowolf,
    You can find your local backups inside /public_html/wordpress-site/wp-content/backup-wp/
    You can also download your backups and save wherever you want. For that go to “Backup history & restore” section and choose the backup which you would like to download and click download button. You are done.

    Dear xseon,

    We sow that you’ve restored your site by Adminer which is just MySQL tool and not a backup/restoration tool. Adminer is not able to restore lost files because it’s DB tool, but seems it magically done for you. And you can not even restore DB records if you don’t have dump/backup for that, but it done for you too. Can I install that plugin and magically restore your site on my side? Cool!!!

    Please DON’T confuse our customers. WE NEVER LET YOU LOST YOUR SENSITIVE DATA. Even if something went wrong, we are able to restore everything MANUALLY.

    DEAR customer if you need an emergency support please contact us instead of blaming!!!

    Dear user,
    there are more than 74.6 million sites depend on WordPress and it means that there are 74.6 million servers with different configurations. Of course, it is not possible immediately satisfy all the demands. But we try to do our best so that our product has a good quality and will not depend on your system and configuration.

    Answering your question about what to back up, we have a section that you have probably not noticed. Please, read the section “other notes” in our plugin’s page. Currently all back ups store locally with a download option. Soon we will come up with an update so that you will be able to store your back ups inside cloud stores like Dropbox.

    We’re so sorry for incorrect instructions listed on top. Actually our plugin doesn’t support incremental backups now. We are planning to have that feature in our next updates. So you can use this one while we are working hard to support that one.

    Hi marky10000,
    Yes you can do these, just follow the instructions bellow.
    Increase the maximum execution time in your php.ini file. This is not a WordPress core file so if you are not sure how to edit it, contact your hosting provider to ask them to increase your maximum execution time. See instructions for increasing maximum execution time.
