I was afraid of it – thanks anyway
Oh, sure. I placed Metaslider on the homepage of my website (https://www.livemusicnow-frankfurt.de). So, the first my visitors see – because of the fade-in – is a short moment of black before the first slide fades in. I wonder whether there is any work-around to let it start with the first image/the first slide and let the fading do its job only from the second slide on? I tried to set the first image as background in the container, but that didn’t help properly. Thanks in advance and kind regards.

Hi,
?? That’s probably because I don’t really understand the plugin at this point.
Screenshot 1 (Configuration/General):
https://www.muenchner-feuilleton.de/wp-content/uploads/shield_security_MF_01.pngThen using What Is My IP Address?-Link:
https://www.muenchner-feuilleton.de/wp-content/uploads/shield_security_MF_02.pngLast item: “All that’s left for you to do (if you haven’t already) is jump back to the wizard and copy-paste in your IP address.”
So I jumped back but can’t paste anything anywhere. (besides, the right one is already in there). And now I don’t know if I have to do anything else…
I’m sorry for being a little slow on the uptake here ??
Hi Paul, thanks again! I just didn’t understand that recognise my IP address would affect the recognition of my employee’s IP address. I did as you said using the What-is-my-IP address-link and the IP address which already was written in the settings (What Is My IP Address? Aktuelle Quelle ist: REMOTE_ADDR (109.104.34.112)) is correct. There also is no possibility to change anything or a list with addresses to select nor a field to copy-paste the detected address – which should be the “last step” following the instructions. Was that all? Or is something wrong?
Hi Paul, thanks for getting back to me that fast! If I’ve got you right, the problem may be, that Shield Security isn’t able to recognise the right IP address?
It isn’t mine, it’s a colleague who has admin rights too. And it’s the second one that get blocked. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it blocks (same addresses).
The general config says “remote_addr”, I can’t change that obviously for future logins (resp. for other visitors), can I? And the activity protocol contents some, not all, but only valid actions of the questionable IP.Could it have something to do with my colleague’s browser settings?
I have to get this fixed, otherwise I would have to look for another plugin and I really do not like to because yours is just perfect.Hey, sorry for the delay and thank you for getting back to me!
I have had only one Popup placed with simple text and a graphic button appearing 15 seconds after page was loaded. Maybe there were a problem with another installed plugin or some settings I just couldn’t find out.
And sorry again, but my time was running out here and so I have to use another Popup-plugin. All the best!
Hey again, changing the mail-sending-methode to PHP Mail fixed the problem.
So thx again and kind regards, SylvaHey Malay, thx for your support. Updating the SMTP password in the settings doesn’t help with the confirmation and test mails. But changing the mailer from WP Mail to php does. Post notifications seem to been sent at anytime and via WP Mail – could that be?
Thanks, Sylva
