Just want to add an upvote for getting role simulator back. I was using it to make my member site work better for members. It also seemed to help prevent cache issues with our metered paywall. All logged in users see the same thing. There is nothing individualized, so I was making a precache crawl for the members, and another for guests. Private cache would be a waste of space, especially as few visitors are returning to an article.

I’ll try that. Yes the FB APP is saying “We will unblock your rate limit in 17 mins” so that is probably it. I had it set to 1 hour though, your default is much less than that.
It seems like the APP is making way more calls then necessary, is it updating site wide? We have hundreds of pages that don’t get visited in your average month. It should just make the call when someone does visit.

So this morning the counts were there. But as soon as I edited a page the counts disappeared there and everywhere else. I’m wondering if it has something to do with cloudflare, but that doesn’t seem to make sense. If they were cached the count would just stay the same not disappear. I had that issue once a long time ago.

I also have several thousand articles and individually scrapping them, and immediately scrapping new ones after publish, seems unreasonable. It has been several weeks now.

I’m having the same issue. My new posts in the last week or two don’t show the share count. I’ve deactivated the plugin. Cleared Cloudflare and site cache, wanted 10 minutes and reinstalled it. No difference.

The count still shows on older posts but on new posts the empty count bubble flashes and then disappears. My icons are set to hover. Same thing on both computer/vertical and phone/horizontal.

It seems to have worked. An Amp analytics script was already being added by the optimization plugin I use for analytics. All I needed to do was not use your analytics option. Using both wasn’t generating duplicate results or messing with the bounce rate but is was adding the extra tag and getting a warning.

Does this mean I can just unselect the analytics section of AMP for WP and it will fix the problem? I’m already getting results from Amp pages through the other plugin.

I’ll test it out today. Will take a while to be sure whether
A: I still get Amp results, and
B: search console considers the warning fixed.
