So, i ultimately did break my website in my attempt to fix this. I just wanted to state to any other wordpress noobs out there like me, if you break it and need to reinstall from one of the “backups” you’ve made from your dashboard…it will erase all links from your blogroll and will delete all subscribed people. Also will mess up your picture links in your posts.

I am still trying to fix my website after “breaking” it. So, do a bit more research into backing up and restoring than I did and save yourself the headache.

(tho doing the “restore” the way I did, DID ultimately fix my widget/post issue..I just would not suggest doing it the way I did)

Okay, so I did run it through https://www.w3.org/ and it gave me a “cleaned up” html that I can use. Is this even safe to do? I don’t want to break it worse.

ugh, this seems WAY out of my league. :/ How would i have even messed with the mark-up code by just deleting pictures?

I, personally, despise when things follow me on a page and you have your menu following me on the left. I just think it’s icky to have stalking menus. Some people really like this though. One thing about the stalker menus is that on cell phone browsers, it can go horribly wrong, where it will take over the screen and not allow proper page navigation. Also, you already have the menu that scrolls down with you, so why have the side navigation stalker menu?

Also, besides that I like the design, but the titles seem HUGE and there is a bit too much blank space between the read more button and the text/next post.

This is a very nice design. Very bold and it stands out. the picture at the top might be a bit to tall, but overall it looks great. That theme is fantastic looking.

Can you do a backup? If not, can you try to uninstall that plugin?

Did you ever get this answered elsewhere or figure it out? I’m trying to figure out the same thing and having the worst time finding the answer.

Check your plugins. try disabling them all and then do the keyword search (unless you are using a plugin for that, then leave that one up). See if it happens.

I, personally, like the Home page as the home page (the blog one). I’m usually a fan of that style as I can see a lot more information right away about a page by seeing its blog page. For example, if i just see your current static page, I might not think it’s of any interest to me due to it being religious oriented and I might only read the first line of your intro and say “beh, not for me.” However, by seeing your blog page, my initial reaction might be “ugh religious page, but wait..this looks interesting” and then stay on it for a bit and scope out different posts.

Wow, i totally shouldn’t post when i am on no sleep. You do have a cursive header….but i was thinking more stretched across…and remove your face from it. ?? (maybe instead you can have your face appear on any posts you post as the “author” picture)

Heh, at least you have more comments than my site. :/ I get like 30 spam comments a day..then I realized akismet was actually eating real comments and I had like 8! woot!

As for your site, I like the layout..tho I think your title/header is a tad..spammish looking? (not sure if that’s a word). I.E. Looks like a generic store website for spam sites.

What’s the white square above your calendar supposed to have in it? (just curious)

Anyways, found your site rather fun to look at, just take a look at the header and see if you can find something fun..maybe like a big cursive version of your title?

Can you access your website by FTP? (through your host)

People won’t really join/use your site unless it has something on it.

You could try having a photo page on it (to increase views). Post news about pets, links to popular pet sites out there. Information on pet health, food, etc.
