Oh this page looks a lot better..earlier it just went to the page with the video automatically. I think the video page that we were earlier directed to made it look bad, but it looks better with the postings.

You want people to be able to “trust” your page to click the links..which is why the “spam” site look can be bad as it makes people think they’ll be hacked.

I’m guessing you are still working on the posts on it as some of the pages are blank….if you stick a # symbol in the menu header for Cruise Line Jobs Recruiters it’ll make it so people can’t click on that word, but the drop down will still show up and those can be clicked.

I think he was spamming, but I took a quick look and the only thing that really popped out that I didn’t like was the green background with the blue header…the green doesn’t seem to fit the page design and you probably should get a custom header of some type…um..i went to go relook at it and i just got this error:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It took me a bit of fanagling, but if you go to …Dashboard -> Appearance ->Menus It’s on that page..you create a menu and then just drag the “categories” up to it.

As far as I’m aware, you can’t have many “blog” pages, but you can do category pages. Like..if you want have posts about an ipod, make a category for “ipod” or “electronics” and then if you post about something else related, just pick the “electronics” category.
This will put all the blog posts listed under that category…then this category can be put on your “menu”

See for example: https://apocalypticthoughts.com/topics/media/ (no i’m not advertising my page..just using it as an example).
This is a category on my website that I can check off on..then I stuck that onto my menu and if you click on it, it shows these posts.

Hey you have the same theme I”m using.
I don’t think the twitter widget is too much. I think it adds a level of interactivity or at least the appearance of “connectivity” with the website to people.
I’m still, personally, undecided on the tags widget myself and I’m not sure how it’s perceived by the regular person out there. You could try a category drop down box instead if you are unsure about it yourself..that might let people find things easier.

On the bottom, you might want to change your default “links” to a blogroll..because right now you have links to the default junk links (imo) that just advertise www.ads-software.com and nothing to do with your website itself.

The website looks nice, but like others, having difficulty with the fonts. I think it’s because you are using a …thin font that is white. If it’s a bolder font and white it might work better.
Areas where font is not readable: On the pictures on front page and also all the text below the photos, especially the bottom line.

Looks like a spam blog and ty mod for warning about the music even if i ignored it and then was deafened.

If this is a real website Joel, you need to tone down the music volume on it and also make it look not so…spammish/scraperish. I couldn’t stay on it long due to the music (even tho I turned down my volume).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backlink in short: Backlinks, also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page.

I don’t really have them on my site either…they supposedly help with website ranking.

To get a higher following, you can try facebook and google+..basically linking your website to them. It can bring more of an audience in. You can also try twitter to get more visitors.

Oops sorry, didn’t ralize i couldn’t give hosting recommendations. (guess that could lead to spam ads, sorry!)

If you are a good self-teacher, its not too bad.
I use hostgator as my host and i purchased my theme after playing around with the free ones. I don’t know much about coding but i’m slowly learning.

    type in yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

Then readd the spot for it (i.e. the widget or whatever you are using)

Well..there looks like there is another site: https://www.reverbnation.com/theaddictiondream that has the high ranking compared to your newer site.
Just google SEO Optimization and google rank help and it should give you a starting point for help. All websites struggle with google search result.

For example..my website does work if i type it seperately, but does not come up with just Apocalyptic and i have to put the “s” on thoughts for it to work (tho google+ is screwing with the results atm).

You can test many of the themes out by just scrolling through the various ones available in your dashboard..and “previewing” them. Any theme can be turned into a “health” niche theme. Go to some of the more popular websites devoted to your subject matter and see what theme they are using and play around with them. It can actually be a lot of fun.
