An option to turn this field off from the backend would be useful for me, too. Our organization doesn’t maintain a donor mailing list in this sense…

David Anderson: After a litany of issues with NS, I finally had to bail on them (I’ve spent the last couple of weeks migrating sites). I’m with another host now, so I can’t offer any other updates as to the real source of the issue. I didn’t want you to think I abandoned this thread, but your fix was the solution for this issue when hosted on NS.

Same issue, same hosting service. I commented out the suspect line in php.coalesced.ini, and was able to access the UpdraftPlus page within the site – and was able to run a backup. After that, I uncommented the line and re-uploaded the ini file; everything still seems to work. I’ll post another update to this thread if more problems occur, but it looks as if David’s hunch is probably correct (that will work after being turned off and back on)…
