In reply to: Display Blogroll on a PagePSM – I followed your tip, posted the code in the HTML of the page. I have the Exec-PHP Plugin already. I updated the page and now where I put that code I just see the code again.

In reply to: Upgraded a plugin, page won’t updateWhooami, thanks for the reply. I should have said in my original question that I did go back and activate the plugin, but it still shows version .997 as the active version, even though I deleted it with FTP and uploaded the new .999 version. I’m trying to figure out why version .999 isn’t the one showing on the plugins page. Does that make sense?
Also, if you have any suggestions as to what I can do about the upgrade to 2.3.2 causing my blog to lose all of it’s categories, I’d love the help. I did not understand the answer I got on my post here, which was to drop the tables related to WP, check and restore them, and do the upgrade again. I tried asking what “drop the tables” meant, and I wish I did understand it, but I don’t. Can you help?

In reply to: Can I get my categories back?Michael-I did get my sidebar working again after clearing the cache, but still no luck on the categories problem. Has anyone seen a fix for this? Could I have missed a file when I did the upgrade, something that specifically controls the categories assigned to posts?

In reply to: Can I get my categories back?I repaired all of the tables, and after a phone call to Bluehost support, I deactivated the Firestats plugin because they said it was causing an error on their end. However, the Bluehost Support guy was able to get into my sidebar widgets and move them around and open them. But I can’t. What could be causing that on my end? Any ideas?

In reply to: Can I get my categories back?Michael, thank you for your reply. I don’t have the old sidebar widgets plugin activated. Also, I used PHPMyAdmin to do a database backup, and I know I checked the Add DROP TABLE box. But to be honest, I don’t know what you mean when you say “drop all the current tables…rebuild all those tables”. Is there any way you can explain it to me so that I can do it myself without screwing things up worse?
I just checked in FTP, should I still have a folder labelled “widgets”? Or do I no longer need that?

In reply to: HELP! 2.3.2Leejj-It will be okay! Follow these directions very carefully– https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended
Backup, and if you aren’t sure, backup again! Check to make sure the backups work. Anything that the directions say to delete, you delete. If it says NOT to delete something, it’s because you will be adding to it. Just go step by step.Forum: Fixing WordPress
