I understand what you are saying, Michael. If I import the links into the Blogroll that comes with the blog, then how do I put a link on the sidebar that reads:

Click HERE to view my blogroll

The default blogroll that comes with the blog is very plain, I wanted to be able to break up the links into groups with titles (“these are people I have met in person”, “these are people who’s blogs I like”, etc) Is that something I can do from the Stylesheet or something?

tmerr-yes, in order to do things like claim your blog on Technorati, it will still need to have a name. What you want to do is go into Dashboard–>Presentation–>Theme Editor–>header.php, and look for this:

<title><?php wp_title(”); ?>

Between those two single quote marks, put the title of your blog, so it looks like this:

<title><?php wp_title(‘TheNameOfYourBlog’); ?>

That should do the trick.

DPellegrin-do you use text widgets? I’ll be curious to see whether this is something that goes in a widget or has to go directly into sidebar.php!

Also, I wrote another post this morning, in a different category, and it doesn’t show up in Bloglines OR Google Reader. I checked Dashboard–>manage–>category visibility, and all my categories have the feed box checked. I’m really stumped here! Anybody have an idea?

And I checked, and its marked as Published. Is it possible that the category it is in, Sponsored Posts, somehow got excluded from my Feed? Where on the Dashboard would I check?

Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I also am not getting my feeds to update, I have the RSS widget in my sidebar.

Right, I chose an AdBrite 120×600 skyscraper, and I put the code they gave me into sidebar theme file, and there is nothing there. Thought maybe I did something wrong.

Can you put the URL for the profile photo into a text widget?

Handy-You would not believe the problems I am having with Text Link Ads support. I spent three HOURS emailing a support person back and forth today, and they still can’t tell me why the plugin doesn’t work. I may have to pull the ads completely if I can’t get it working.

I’m going to move this question over to the WordPress.com forum, and see if they have any suggestions. I seem to be missing four posts from August 2005, and if there is a database where they stay forever, I want to find them!

Katychan-did you register at WordPress.com for a blog, or just for a username? My suggestion is register for a blog, just make something up so you can get the key.
