In reply to: Please help-quick code question about sidebar!Sorry about that! This is my current sidebar code for all pages. Again, my URL is https://table4five.net.
I need to start a new Page just for the category payperpost, and on those pages, the sidebar needs to NOT include the code for Blogher ads. Also, I just thought of something-since I use text widgets in my sidebar, shouldn’t there be a way to create a second set of widgets for a second sidebar? That way, I could just not use the widget that has the Blogher ad code in it.
If not, this is the Variable Sidebar code from the WordPress Codex page for Conditional tags. It seems like it is close to what I need, except I don’t want single pages to display NO sidebar, I want them to display a DIFFERENT sidebar. Please let me know if there is any other info you need.

In reply to: Widgets, plugins and IE conditional commentsI am also looking for help with MyBlogLog installation. My blog is https://table4five.net, and I use the K2 theme. I posted this question at the K2 forum and have not received an answer. The “instructions” for installing the MyBlogLog widget say to insert the code between the Open and CLose body tags. This is embarassing to admit, but I can’t find them! I’ve looked under Theme Editor–>Page Template and also the Main Index Template, and still don’t see it. I also didn’t have any luck inserting the code directly into my sidebar. Can anyone here please help?

In reply to: Help with code for Flickr badgeOtto, thank you so much for directing me to pastebin! What a great site. Here is the link to the post I created there:
https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/307208
I titled it “Sidebar File”, and then at the bottom is the Flickr Badge Code. If someone could show me how to incorporate the Flickr code into the sidebar code, I would be very grateful for the help. Thanks!

In reply to: Problem withI’m back to let anyone following this thread know that I was successful in my WP-to-WP transfer. For some reason yesterday when I attempted the import I got back “No files found”, but this morning when I tried again the whole XML file transferred over. It only missed two posts I wrote yesterday. I got comments, photos, everything. I am VERY HAPPY.

In reply to: Problem withWell, I’m back, because I am impatient that way. I manually ftp’d the XML file to my host to get around the upload limit. How do I point the importer to an XML file already on the server, if that’s even possible?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem withI called BlueHost, and the problem is not with WP but with BlueHost having a limit in the phpAdmin file of 7 KB for transfers. I have to manually upload the XML file to the root directory/public html and then request that BlueHost install it.
Hope this helps other users who are with BlueHost.

In reply to: Problem withThanks for your time, Handy. I’ll leave the thread open for a day or two in case anyone else picks up on it and has a suggestion. And I’ll open a support ticket with BlueHost.
I got the impression that moving from WP.com to WP.org was going to be a few easy clicks, so it’s frustrating to find it not so easy to do.

In reply to: Problem withAll I have in my BlueHost cPanel is a link to Apache Handlers. phpAdmin had a Restart, but access was denied. So contact BlueHost then?

In reply to: Problem withThe original filesize in the php.ini was 2M. We increased it to 10M, which didn’t make any difference.
I found another question in the forum about this, and it said to put “php_value upload_max_filesize 10M // max size in Mb” in the .htaccess file. I tried that, and it crashed the blog, and the server added a line saying that php directives go in the php.ini file. Do I need to contact BlueHost about restarting the web service?
