In reply to: Author changes when updating ‘patters’ blocks@brothman01 Yes, the issue is:
1. Author A creates a blog post, including some synchronized ‘patterns’
2. I log in with my own user B and open this post. I select one of the patterns, click ‘edit original’ and make changes.
3. After going back to the post and saving my changes, the post author changes from A to B.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Author Changes When EditingI have this exact same issue – also running a site with multiple authors – and after making some updates to existing posts, from time to time it happens that the original author is changed to me.
After some testing I was able to reproduce the behaviour:
It only happens if from within the posts I am making changes to one of the included, synchronized ‘reusable blocks’. It does not happen if I change some of the regular content.
Any ideas how to prevent this from happening? It’s quite annoying because I have to double-check after making changes, that the author is still intact.

(I might look into other solutions such as reCaptcha or cloudflare in the meantime)
Thanks for your answer – my use case is to avoid bot traffic distorting with conversion tracking of certain pages. I am sure there are plenty of other use cases ??
Best regardsThanks, this is really helpful!
