In reply to: [EU/UK VAT Validation Manager for WooCommerce] HPOS is not supportedHi @dvanrossum,
Good morning! I hope you’re doing well.
The price is updated immediately when the VAT is validated and exempted from the total price. I’ve just tested this, and it’s working correctly. Please check the attached video for reference.
Make sure you’re using the latest version (3.1.5) of the plugin. If you’re still encountering the issue, could you please record a video demonstrating the scenario? It will help us investigate the issue more effectively from your end.
Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hi @joe16,
Good morning! It’s great to hear that the issue has been resolved.
Regarding moving the VAT field to the billing form, we are currently working on updating the plugin’s compatibility with the Blocks Checkout page. At the moment, you can move it as needed in the Classic Checkout page.
As soon as we release an update addressing this compatibility, we’ll make sure to inform you.
If there’s anything else I can assist you with, feel free to let me know!

Hi David,
Good morning, I hope you’re doing well. It’s great to hear from you and know it is working now.
Regarding your questions, I’ve tested everything on my end with the Blocks Checkout, and I’m sorry to inform you that some functionalities are not working as expected:
- While the basic VAT functionality works, updating the checkout page does not reflect the VAT field the taxes remain excluded, as you mentioned.
- I tried enabling settings related to forcing a checkout reload, but they had no effect on the Blocks Checkout.
- Moving the VAT field to the billing section is currently not functional.
- Restricting the VAT field to specific countries also isn’t working.
These features work seamlessly in the Classic Checkout, but there’s still a queue for implementing them in the Blocks Checkout.
I’ve forwarded these points to our development team for further investigation, and I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information. We appreciate your patience while we work on improving compatibility with Blocks Checkout.
If you have any additional questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

Hi @joe16,
Thank you for reaching out! Please make sure to enable the option called “Checkout block field” in the Admin & Advanced tab. Since the Blocks checkout page is relatively new in WordPress, our plugin is mostly compatible with it, and we are actively working on updates to ensure full compatibility.
If enabling this option resolves the issue, that’s great! However, if it doesn’t and you need to use the EU VAT functionality immediately, I recommend switching to the Classic checkout page (shortcode-based) for now. The plugin works seamlessly there until we complete the Blocks checkout compatibility.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hi David Baranek,
Good morning! I hope you’re doing well.
I forgot to mention earlier, but there’s an option in the Admin & Advanced tab called Checkout block field. Please enable this option. Since the Blocks checkout page is relatively new in WordPress, our plugin is largely compatible with it, and we are actively updating our plugins to achieve full compatibility.
If enabling this option resolves the issue, that’s great! If not, and you need to use the EU VAT functionality right away, I recommend switching to the Classic checkout for now. The plugin works seamlessly there until we finalize the Blocks checkout compatibility.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi @wood1e,
Thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing with the min/max amount limits.
I’ve attempted to replicate the problem on my end, and the plugin appears to function as expected. It’s possible that some configurations might have been missed during setup. Please ensure the following:
- General Tab:
- Check the option Block checkout process (Prevent users from placing an order with incorrect amounts). If this is disabled, customers may be able to place orders with the wrong amounts.
- Payment Gateways:
- Make sure the correct amounts are set in the PayPal section under the Payment Gateways tab.
You can check this video demonstrating the plugin working correctly as a reference for setting up your store.
If you’re still facing issues, it might be due to a compatibility conflict with another plugin. Feel free to share more details, and I’ll be happy to assist further.

Hi @takenyahampton,
Thank you for reaching out!
If you are using the plugin to block specific payment gateways according to your settings, it’s recommended to disable their visibility on the cart page. Each plugin you mentioned, such as Afterpay, typically has an option to show or hide its button on the cart page.
I’ve attached a photo link showing the settings for the Afterpay plugin, which demonstrates how to disable the checkout button on the cart page. Please review these settings to ensure everything is configured as needed.
Feel free to reach out if you have further questions or need additional assistance!

Hi Alinano,
Thank you for reaching out!
Our plugin ensures that it doesn’t generate the same EAN. When generating EANs, it uses a unique “seed” such as the Product ID or Counter. Product IDs in WooCommerce are always unique, and unless you manually update or reset the counter in the “Tools > Generate > Seed Counter” option, it will remain unique as well.
If you have further questions or need help, feel free to let us know!

Hi kuebk,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We really appreciate your time and effort.
To confirm, I tried entering the TAX ID in the “My Account” page, but it doesn’t save after pressing the save button. What you’ve shared is important and will help us investigate this issue further. I’ve already escalated this to the development team for a deeper look, and they’ll respond with a fix or an update soon.
One more thing I forgot to mention earlier: there’s an option called “Checkout block field” in the Admin & Advanced tab. If you’re using a block-based checkout, please ensure this option is enabled. It might help resolve some issues related to this scenario.
Thank you for your patience, and I’ll keep you informed as soon as I hear back from them.

Hi Kuebk,
Please note that the issue you are facing might be related to a compatibility problem with the theme you are using or a conflict with another plugin. I would be happy to assist you in resolving this issue on your end if you grant us access using this email ([email protected]).
However, I would like to confirm that the plugin is working correctly on my end. I have tested it with both Classic and Blocks checkout enabled, and it is functioning as expected. You can verify this in this video.
