oops yes it does say the shortcode plug in is compatible with WP 4.0, but still need answers to upgrading to WC 2.2.4, thanks

oh well thank you. not updated to WC 2.2.4 yet. And am running WP 4.0, they said this plug in has not been tested on WP 4.0 yet. Is anyone using it here that has WP 4.0? How is it?

And in addition to that I am still only running WC 2.1.2. Sounds like there was a lot of issues when people upgraded to 2.2. I’m using MyStile theme. Do you know if they have gotten all the bugs out of updates from 2.1.2 up to 2.2.4. I am not css savy so if something goes wrong i’m in trouble. When doing upgrades doe the upgrades usually leave the settings you have set alone?

thank you for your help! I have not had to change any tax rates this year and it does calculate the rates correctly for now but I will keep this link for in the future if I run into the problem again.

Thank you so much this simple answer worked! Such a long question for an easy fix . . .There should be a button somewhere that says regenerate permalinks somewhere on the Edit Product Category screen in woocommerce so you don’t have to go back and forth.

Thank you, but the solution is simpler, and the solution is this code:

style=”margin: 0px; border: 0px currentColor;”,

for example:

<img class=”size-full wp-image-1932 alignnone” style=”margin: 0px; border: 0px currentColor;” alt=”canflag_anim3″ src=”https://www.nautilus-intl.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/canadian_flag_animated.gif” width=”169″ height=”60″ />

I also had this problem and this is indeed a simple solution I added the code style=”margin: 0px; border: 0px currentColor;” in my image tag and it worked. I also wish they did not get rid of the option to edit size and borders, etc. in the image editor. I am a real novice and was advised not to go into my theme’s css ?? so this helped me a lot, thank you.

I have this setup in my ecommerce store for when people order less than $10 there is shipping flat rate price and when their order is over $10 it is free.

Go into Woocommerce, Settings and click on the Shipping tab, “enable shipping” then scroll down to Shipping Methods and set your default shipping to “free shipping” then click on “settings” to the right of that and there you can set your minimum order amount.

Then back up in the breadcrumbs menu click on “flat rate” and enable that method as well. Scroll down to “cost per order” and put in the amount you would like to charge for shipping if they don’t meet your minimum order.

Just make sure that your default is free shipping and for your “shipping display mode” choose “Display shipping methods in a dropdown” instead of radio buttons that way it looks less confusing to people like they don’t have a choice; radio buttons look like they have a choice.

I too would like to know if this is possible. I have Yoast SEO installed and do see an option under Titles and Metas, Post Types to put a template for “product” meta description and also under Taxonomies there are places to put templates for Product Categories and Products Tags but what if you want to add a different meta description for each product. Since products are not actually “pages” is this possible?

If not if a specific product comes up in a search engine with meta description should I fill out to show under the product title:

Titles and Metas, Post Types, Product meta description; or
Titles and Metas, Taxonomies, Product Categories or Product Tags

UPDATE: found a solution to this by resizing my images first to 640×480 then in woocommerce, settings, catalog, image options change dimension for featured product to 640×480, can also change for your product gallery and recent products, etc. so that pics are what size you want them to be

I’m sorry to repost on same issue but have not found an answer yet. I’m starting to try and put pictures of my products in the featured image and in the media library it shows the whole picture but when it gets set as featured image it is cutting off the sides. I have cropped it as much as I can and save it as the new cropped image but still doesn’t work. Is there a size setting that I can adjust in woocommerce that will allow the whole picture to come in or something else I should do, please help, thank you.

this was caused by me deleting all my cookies, browser history and clearing cache to test ordering process. When I went to my dashboard it does not recognize that I was an admin. After I undid all that all the menus came back because it recognized me as admin.

Try in woocommerce settings click on the catalog tab and under “pricing options” make sure there is no check mark in the box next to
Trailing Zeros, see if that works

as for the tax rates i have to do that as well but even more complicated like for every county in fl that has a different surtax rate!

Anyway I have found that if you go to Woocommerce, settings, click on the Tax tab and there is a link line right underneath all the tabs that should say “Tax Options |Tax Rates:

Standard”

click on standard and you can then define what rules you want so for you I would put CA in the state field and then whatever tax rate in that field and then I am assuming when the customers put in their address, make state a required field, it will add the tax for CA. I haven’t tried it yet but this seems the logical place to do that.

my whole site is https so when choosing the option to unblock unsecure items by clicking on the gray shield in the address bar it allows the whole google translator toolbar to drop down, that is all i’m saying.

after reading some support pages in mozilla i found out that if you click on the gray shield in the address bar it allows you to select disable protection for this page and then the full translator box will show up. But does that then mean that information on the page is subject to being seen by third parties if a form is submitted over the internet?
