what is that script actually doing? what happens if I just leave it until I can either do all the steps above or find someone to do all this for me? I am not experienced enough to go through all that.

here is my header.php file. If you look down in the middle I can see where this header code starts “try{if(window.document) . . . ” But I don’t know if everything below it is part of my header file or not. So don’t know what to delete.

ok i have also updated all my plug ins and updated to wordpress 3.6 and it is still there so i will try what you say above. my creator of my website does not respond to me anymore. . . .

why is deleting the text out of header.php only a temporary fix?

i have deactivated all of them it is still there . . .

I had it built several years ago it is a custom theme. i am not sure if he used a template or not.

well i figured it out. It was simple I had to update the page and then it saved my changes. But now for doing my home page and doing an analysis there are 3 red flags that are telling me:

– The keyword / phrase harley rentals tampa florida does not appear in the page title.
– The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.
– A meta description has been specified, but it does not contain the target keyword / phrase.

So I don’t know why I am getting those red flags. Can someone please let me know some reasons of why it is telling me this? Thank you

I installed this plug-in and am going page by page to insert focus keyword/phrase, seo title and meta description. I have hit a snag with focus keywords. When I use a suggested keyword phrase or type in my own it doesn’t save it when I go out of the page and come back in it is blank. I have read Yoasts FAQs but cannot find an answer to this. He does not offer any free support. Hope somebody on here can help me with this, thank you.

thank you I will try it. My theme was a custom made one. I must have deactivated a plug in by mistake and got rid of the SEO portion that use to be at the bottom of each page.

I was able to find and open my header.php to see what was put in for a title and this is what is written:

<title><?php wp_title( '|', true, 'right' ); bloginfo( 'name' ); ?></title>

I have no idea what it means. Will I have to change that or will the WordPress-seo plug in do that automatically when I start telling it my titles, snippets, etc. or will this code in my header.php override what I put in wordpress seo, thank you.

I can’t believe i’m having such a hard time just getting a slideshow on one of my pages . . . .:(

I have been playing around with the WP features to try and add galleries and/or slideshows on a page that I wanted to have several slideshows. And can’t get past a couple of things.

1. I was following the directions for inserting a slideshow. https://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/ instruction #4 says “click insert slideshow” I do not have this option, I only have “insert gallery”

2. I added a gallery of 3 pics under a heading of Austin, TX

3. I wanted to create another gallery with another set of pics underneath a different heading but when I choose to insert other pics and from my computer it just added them to the gallery above. How can I have separate galleries with different pics?

What is the difference between having a gallery or just random single pics? Is it just a matter of that the gallery will give you more options to line up the pics?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I did go to Posts in dashboard and there was a post called Bikers on Daytona Beach. Have no idea how that got there, anyway I just deleted it and it is now gone from my sitemap page, thank you.

to my understanding the plugin WordPress SEO by Yoast is what I use to type in my keywords, titles, descriptions, etc. for the pages of my website for site optimization and this helps the search engines list my site.

I haven’t looked into what the Google Site Generator is yet, thank you your simple solution took care of the 1st problem.

XML sitemap I think. The person who set up my site for me installed that plug in and also yoast wordpress SEO. Basically he has told me leave the site map page there saying it helps the search engines and that is fine but trying to figure out why this page comes up when clicking on any other links than “by Page”

I don’t know what version of HTML means. I have a private page i’m experimenting on for this certain table because it is a work in progress I don’t have a public page for you to see but there seems to be alot of white space inbetween the rows.

And specifically i’m just making certain i am using the right code to start and end the table. If you tell me how to attach a doc with a screen shot I could do that. thank you.
