Ah, that explains it. I had been using ‘false’ but obviously that didn’t work to stop it from preloading.

OK, I chickened out and will be using HTML5 Multimedia Framework plugin at least for now. I’m not a big fan of it’s syntax but at least it works on Windows.

That’s not to this one doesn’t, it could just be me.

Let me know if there’s any updates to this or if you’ve had the same issue.

Just out of interest, how’s this working out for you?

I’m thinking of doing something similar on a Multisite project where I’d get another, cheaper, spacious server to host all uploads while the rest of the site, inc. database, is hosted on another, pricy, small and fast server.

Half resolved,

Basic Maths use of jquery script that allow one to show the grid lines as an underlay, disabled the script that makes FancyBox tick. If you have this problem you can comment out Load Grid Layout – Custom script by Erin Sparling bit in /wp-content/themes/basicmaths/functions.php.

Any idea how long it might take for robots.txt status to change in googles cache?

I changed the privacy settings about 15 hours ago and Google still thinks it’s been blocked. I would’ve thought they’d check the robots.txt status as you submit the sitemap.

I’m on MediaTemple and my other sites don’t have this problem so I don’t think they’re blocking Google IPs.
