In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] few suggestionsAgreed! That would be amazing! My list of posts is so long by now- and I rarely remember the title of the post I’m looking for. So, it often takes a while for me to find the post to link to. ??

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overHi Dennis,
I sent you an email with the login information for my staging site a while back, but I haven’t heard back. I just wanted to check in to see if you got it.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI’ve read everything there several times, but I can’t find anything that helps to stop the flags from showing up where they shouldn’t- and that will still allow them to show up where I want them. (If there is something there, I haven’t understood it.)

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overThe problem is with my theme, the mobile menu can be built with widgets, shortcode, etc.
I tried to add it that way, but with the coding to block the appearance of flags, it doesn’t appear.
It won’t show up in the mobile menu even if I select that menu in the MSLS settings. When I asked my theme developer about it, he said:
“As for the flag on mobile, that plugin is actually adding invalid markup to the menu so when our javascript builds the mobile menu it ignores that item because it’s not actually a menu item, it’s a random link. You could however just put that same link in the Mobile Menu template part.”
If I add it as a link or shortcode, though, it gets blocked by the coding used to remove the flags from everywhere else all over the place.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overNo, those settings disappear if I deactivate the menu plugin.

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI just added the code again to remove the flags for now- and reactivated the menu plugin.
I need to figure out a way to be able to use the shortcode for my mobile menu.
Any ideas?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI had the people who set up WP Rocket for me check on it and they answered this:
I checked to see if WP Rocket was causing your extra flags issue, but it doesn’t look like it is. I have tested the site adding ?nowprocket, this clears all of the WP Rocket settings from your site, and the issue was still there. I even cleared out all of the caches to see if maybe it was a caching issue, but it didn’t help.

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overNo, if I deactivate the MslsMenu, (Is that what you mean?) I still have flags all over- except in the menu. It’s deactivated now on the English site.
(I reactivated on the Spanish site so I could have a way to go back and forth.)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overNo, right now there isn’t anything in my functions.php and I don’t know of any custom plugins.
I just had someone I’m working with point out that the code you mentioned- he had mentioned it the other day as being code coming from this plugin. (Or isn’t it?)“That’s coming from the MslsMenu plugin. I pointed that out earlier as the invalid HTML in your menu. It’s a link inside ul.”

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI have no idea.
I don’t know what’s normal and what isn’t and have no idea what to do at this point.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI can leave it for a little while so you can see the problem live, if you like.
It shows up under the menu on the home page.
https://thethingswellmake.com/
That’s normally the place reserved for the excerpt of the homepage if you add one. Mine is blank, though.
It also shows up on category pages under each post title.
https://thethingswellmake.com/category/make-it-yourself/arts-and-crafts/
Apart from the fact that it looks busy, it’s quite annoying because it looks like you should be able to see the translation of each post, but all of the flags bring you to the translation of the category page.
Then, it’s also under the title of each and every post:

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI deactivated the MSLSMenu and then removed the code within this plugin settings – and now I have flags everywhere I don’t want them, but no longer have one in the menu.

In reply to: [Multisite Language Switcher] Flags showing up all overI haven’t done anything other than installing it (and the msls menu plugin). They show up on their own.
The strange thing is that I’m not having the same problem on the Spanish site- only the English one.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Revision Manager TMC] Post completely disappearedI understand that, but that’s not what happened. (That’s what normally happens.)
In my case, both the new revision and the old one completely vanished. In the end, I was able to get a version of the old post through a backup- and then had to spend the next hours rewriting the whole revision again.
Now, I copy and paste the whole post elsewhere before publishing, just in case.
