Thank you for updating the plugin. Not only have you fixed the problem with the update, but the view in bulk mode has also improved significantly.
I had tried it with 45000 images, but the process in the browser got too big and cancelled after 25000 images. But it continued at exactly the same point PERFECT.

I have not found anything in our plugins. But the special characters ??üüü??? are encoded in https://tatort-fans.de/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/tatort-bl%C3%BCtentr%C3%A4ume-3.jpg when the URL https://tatort-fans.de/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/tatort-blütentr?ume-3.jpg is called according to RFC 3986.

So tatort-blütentr?ume-3.jpg
is resolved to tatort-bl%C3%BCtentr%C3%A4ume-3.jpg.
Is the problem perhaps in the encoding of the image URL?

Thank you for your quick reply. All of our plugins are in-house developments.
If I understand you correctly, it has to do with the function ‘get_attached_file’ ( https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/get_attached_file/ ).
I’ll have a look at the code in the next few days and get back to you.

PS: Did you see that it comes from the filename:
tatort-bluetentraeum-3.jpg it tries to create another version
tatort-bluetentraeume-3.bak.jpg ? However, the transcription of the special characters is correct: ü becomes ue, ? becomes ae, ? becomes oe.
