I’m having the same issue, I echo WP_TEMP_DIR and it’s ‘C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress/wp-content/’

I still get the ‘Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.’ error.

When I try to install a plug in I also get prompted for ftp details, which I don’t understand at all.

JavaScript is turned on, yes.

Ok, looks like the javascript for the polls is not loading (I see now that it’s not working in anything!).

Any idea why that might happen? I had it installed on my local machine, and it worked fine. I installed it on remote site, uploaded and installed my theme, but the javascript now doesn’t load.

Thanks, that helped. I think the problem was I had home.php for the static homepage, and was trying to set blog as the posts page. blog was picking up home.php even if I included a blog.php. I changed home.php into a template called homepage.php, set the homepage to use that template instead, and Bob’s your uncle, it worked.

I heard about magic field but immediately on installing it, hit problems. Gone now.
