I fixed it. Did the search and replace (using the script above) and then Search and Replace wordpress plugin and finally updated wordpress.

@darrenholder I tried following the method and replacing everything domain, but still no luck.

I was using WordPress 3.8. Just restored a back-up and changed all the passwords.

Okay that was from the custom CSS I added. I removed the code just now. The same problem is still there though. It is something affecting the theme but I can’t figure out how to fix the issue.

Actually I was referring to just being able to use the side menu when a user visits that page with the list of categories. Is it possible?

In that page the side menu will be visible but no products, but when someone clicks on a categories it’ll function as usual.

^^ I think you should check the permissions for WP-Snapshots folder. It is found on your WordPress root. At least 777 is needed. (I think)
