In reply to: [Postie] What to enter for attachment file typesThank you for this link, but I’m unclear how to utilize this information. Are you saying that the issue isn’t with the Postie settings, but with some other WP setting?

In reply to: [Postie] What to enter for attachment file typesMine does say “application” already.
Hi Sunny. I’ve alleviated the problem I believe. I’ve been using the Advanced Cron Manager and Advanced Cron Manager Pro plugins to see what is happening with the ai1ec cron task.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1505750424 bytes) in D:\Sites\students-pharmacy\wp-content\plugins\all-in-one-event-calendar\lib\iCal\iCalcreator-2.20\iCalcreator.class.php at line 8004
I have believed the problem feed is one specific feed, so I deleted it. I manually refreshed all other feeds (13 in total) which added 50 events.
The problem feed had 4 events– 3 that were single events, and 1 that was a recurring event, every monday until 12-18-2017.
I made the recurring event, a single day event, tested cron. I cloned the event and made it for the following Monday, and tested cron. I then cloned and made it recurring for the 5 weeks in october. Tested cron. I then cloned it and made it for the weeks from 11-7- 12-18. Tested cron. All successful tests.
Was it something in the original event which was recurring for every monday 9-18 to 12-18?I guess? But either way, the problem is resolved now.
Thx for your help troubleshooting this issue.
Sunny,
Here is the fatal error I’m receiving as captured by Advanced Cron Manager:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1505750424 bytes) in D:\Sites\students-pharmacy\wp-content\plugins\all-in-one-event-calendar\lib\iCal\iCalcreator-2.20\iCalcreator.class.php at line 8004
Is the solution to ask our Server admin to increase the allowed memory, or is the issue with the line 8004?
Thanks for all your help with this issue.

In reply to: [Postie] Post not automatically getting emailsI have installed the plugin, Advanced Cron Manager. In my experience, while the emails do not seem to being brought in automatically, if I use the “execute now” feature in ACM, the emails are properly imported.
Sunny,
None of our feeds contain “thousands of events.” At most, we are talking like 20-25 events.
The feed that I described this morning has 4 events, not thousands.
We believe that the site’s cron is functioning as other cron tasks listed (with Advanced Cron Manager) appear to be completing.
Sunny,
We have two issues happening. They may be related, but perhaps are not. So I want to break them down.
1) If I go in and manually try and update feeds, the button changes to “refreshing” and never seems to complete. If I open another web window and look at the calendar, new events have been added, even though the feeds page still shows it as “refreshing.”
2) The feeds do not seem to be refreshing automatically.
You suggested earlier doing a manual re-install of AI1EC. I’d like to give that a try. Is this a matter of deleting the plugin folder via FTP, and then uploading the plugin again, or is the process a little more than that?
Thx for all of your help!
Sunny,
Thanks for your help. I have resolved the issue with the one feed that wouldn’t display at all on the calendar. https://students.pharmacy.pitt.edu/pdc/?plugin=all-in-one-event-calendar&controller=ai1ec_exporter_controller&action=export_eventsI went into WordPress and renamed the site from /pdc/ to /PhiDeltaChi/ and then imported the feed, and it imported 4 events.
I was successful in deleting a different feed and re-adding it again.
On the problematic feed, I deleted events and re-added them one by one. The feed could be manually refreshed with each event UNTIL,, I added a recurring event. Once that event was added, the feed would no longer refresh.
Feed that is the issue: This feed is the one I can’t manually refresh: https://students.pharmacy.pitt.edu/pdc/?plugin=all-in-one-event-calendar&controller=ai1ec_exporter_controller&action=export_events
Event that is the problematic event: PDC Weekly Meeting, every Monday 12-1 recurring until December 18th.
