It was something related to Mozilla Firefox. Although I had Java Scripts activated, the browser was looking for plugins. I reset Firefox to the default settings (which is the way I had it anyway) and the problem didn’t happen again. Just why an error message relative to Java Scripts wasn’t shown I don’t know.
I’ve subsequently tested the app on all popular browsers and all is fine.
If only I could say that about the Voting! Nightmare job to get it working properly.

I installed WP + NextGen on my localhost using WAMPP and there is no problem evident. The installation via the 1and1 control panel includes a number of other plugins but none is activated. It must be server related. I’ll contact 1and1 to see what they say. I’ll close this thread now. Thanks.

I tried a completely fresh WP installation and it’s still the same. It’s on a 1and1 server if that makes a difference.

If it’s any help, I uninstalled the latest version and installed the legacy version and the problem still occurred. Really stumped now!

Sorry – misunderstood you. Yes it still occurs with the Voting plugin deactivated and deleted.

No – the only plugins active are the NextGen Gallery and NextGen Voting. The problem occurs immediately after navigating to the Manage Galleries tab which then initiates the continual redirect.

Doesn’t anyone know how to do this????
