In reply to: [Melissa Portfolio] Hide navigation menu when clicked?Fantastic! I don’t see the update yet with my install but assume it will be there by tomorrow. I will follow up either way. Thank you!
I figured out they were collab posts shortly after submitting this but didn’t realize those could also display depending on the type of account connection. Thanks so much!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Theme conflict after last week’s update@tnsmith1515 I am not sure if this is the case but I have found numerous plugins being problematic lately, specifically when updating. It seems to have started when the disconnect/battle with WP Engine occurred. I am not using WP Engine for any sites (for MANY reasons) but have had plugins deactivate during the update process or the update corrupted the plugin resulting in having to manually remove it from the server and install a clean version. This may be totally unrelated but I haven’t been able to get a clear answer from any developer or web host other than the update failed.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Theme conflict after last week’s updateI am also encountering this on a few websites, each with a different theme. Just commenting so I can be notified of any follow up replies.

In reply to: [Loco Translate] Change the word Quote to Request in WooCommerceNever mind! There were so many plugins related to WooCommerce I simply selected one that had no instance of the word “Quote.” All set!
Hello @pulak00,
When I went to retrieve the shortcode the weather widget is working properly again! Perhaps this was a temporary issue with the OpenWeather API Key?
I am following another support thread on here and saw you noted “If you are using the SiteGround hosting and the optimization plugin, you can exclude the class ‘weather-icon’ from being lazyloaded.”
We are using Siteground but their optimize plugin is not installed. Is it worth installing that plugin and excluding the class in case that attributed to the missing icon and weather data?
Let me know what you think. Thank you!

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Payment connection error with PayPalAs noted in my initial post… we already deactivated all plugins and tried a default WordPress theme without success.
Not sure there is any other course of action to take here but I am willing to try if you have any other suggestions. Thanks!

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Payment connection error with PayPalHello @tristan083 ,
I tried to resync the connection and then checked the Wordfence live traffic page to see if an action made by the Event Tickets plugin was blocked after receiving the same errors.
No block was listed in Wordfence.
I also switched over to Learning Mode in Wordfence and the attempt to resync still failed.
In addition to Event Tickets we also have Gravity Forms installed and the connection between PayPal and Gravity Forms is working just fine. I also disabled the connection to PayPal in Gravity Forms in case that was causing the error but the resync between PayPal and Event Tickets still failed.
This seems to be more related to the plugin not being completely compatible with PHP 8 and greater.
Thoughts?

In reply to: [Page Links To] Has the plugin been abandoned?@junkofdavid2, once the plugin is deactivated the redirects will no longer work. I recommend using something like the Redirection plugin to setup the redirects while Page Links To is still installed so it is easy to see which pages/posts had a redirect setup.
I used a more complex solution that involves creating custom fields and custom post categories and page templates so the redirect settings are within the page/post editor instead of having to go to the Redirection plugin settings area which creates a bit of a disconnect if you want to know how a page/post is setup.

In reply to: [Page Links To] Has the plugin been abandoned?@wordpressrun The plugin titled Redirection will work but there isn’t an option to open the link in a new tab so it may not be ideal. I am currently researching an alternative custom option using custom fields on a page/post that will make it possible to add a redirect when editing the page/post as opposed to having to create the page/post and then going to Redirection > Redirect to point where it should link to.

In reply to: [Page Links To] Has the plugin been abandoned?@tmuka I also noticed this and thought it was just me… definitely weird and makes me think it could be time to find a replacement plugin.
I also reverted back to the previous version and that resolved the issue. Hopefully this is addressed soon and a new version is available.
@macpheek I think it is safe to say the developers are not interested in addressing this problem as they have replied to other non-security related support threads more recently and are now completely ignoring any thread that note the vulnerability. I am now searching for a suitable replacement although I would much prefer to continue using this great solution.
