Apparently this has been a known issue for some time and tied to the EXIF orientation flag.

See: JPEG Rotation and EXIF Orientation

I found one fix in the form of an app called : Rotate Mailer in the app store.

However, this is something that should probably be addressed within WordPress to eliminate the need for an extra app step.

The EXIF orientation flag should be respected within WordPress.

Personally, I’m just discovering this bug. The 5s takes a picture in portrait that appears normally within the Apple mobile world. Adding it as new media to WordPress displays the image 90 degrees rotated left (in other words, it’s on it’s side). If the image is published it will appear fine when viewed from the 5s, but will display sideways from my mac desktop.

I don’t know if this is an Apple *or* WordPress issue. Apparently, some of the meta is not being interpreted correctly though within the WordPress media player – it looks like to me.

The issue that I’m seeing since the 3.6 upgrade is that I often receive a connection lost error message whenever I make edits to a post and the SEO plugin fields. The changes are lost.

I’m not sure if this is a bug with the 3.6 auto-save feature or if the SEO plugin is creating a conflict somewhere.

This behavior consistently happens after completing edits and then clicking on the update button. After a few attempts, it appears to work.

    Hello kosinix,

I added it via shortcode: [cycloneslider id=”chasing-pixels”]

BTW, I just removed it a few minutes ago, for now. I can add it back if you need to see it live.

Thank you for the JS heads-up. I’ll take a look at it.
