Hey, it’s gone again and I have a team of editors ticked off they can’t change the authors on posts. They NEED the options that came with the classic editor in the block editor.

To be more specific, the option to change authors is gone from the options menu.

We run a magazine and some posts are attributed to general content users. Our editors and contributors need to be able to change the author on posts so they aren’t logging in and out and switching accounts.

I’m not getting an error message. It’s showing that it’s successful, but it’s putting the excerpt as the body.

I works with 5.4, not with 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2.

No offense man, but you won’t even take a look. You just mark stuff resolved. When I first reported this, you marked that resolved too saying the sites updated their HTML code.

I like your plugin, but someone else is going to get my money when I settle on a plugin for my platform.

I’ve tried adding other feeds. It’s doing the same thing with all of them.

That’s 6 different feeds now. I don’t think that every site, on the same day, all at once updated their code so that only the body doesn’t work. Everything else is grabbed just fine.

Can you please check on this?

It’s been working fine for over a month and just stopped. Same with the other two. It quit reading the body and puts the excerpt instead.

It grabs everything. images, subject, excerpts, etc. It just doesn’t read the body anymore.

Thanks. Can you add a bulk option to quick edit to exclude posts from Google News? When writing a new post I usually check the box if it’s syndicated content from a partner site. It would be useful if I could bulk quick edit and select the entire category I use for that.

I still can’t see the category options either in composition or quick edit.

This thing is so annoying. It’s autosaving much too often, and I have to sit there and wait for it to complete before I do anything, because for some reason, the changes aren’t being kept.

Tags especially are a problem. When I put in a tag and press the comma, it disappears, then after a few seconds, it reappears.

With autosave now, sometimes it will save entering tags, and I have to keep putting the tags in over and over.

Another example? When autosave happens as you’re publishing and you have to sit there and wait for both to complete? I’ll publish, and then have to sit through an autosave.

And if I try to navigate away, I’ll get that prompt asking me if I’m sure. And so that I don’t fill up my database with auto draft entries, I have to update then navigate away.

This is a problem.

Please give us the option to either disable this, or at least decrease how often it autosaves. I understand what you’re saying about server connection, but there has got to be another way for that to happen in the background.

As it is now, it adds much more time than is necessary to post a blog post.

When I’m writing or editing a post in classic editor, at the top there are screen options where I can select the boxes I’d like to display/hide such as excerpts, trackbacks, comments, and so on. Layout options as well, additional settings.

Some plugins have their box options in that drop down as well. Gutenberg does away with that. I really need that to be there still, please.

I saw a thread in Support about 0 posts and I was curious as to what’s causing that.

Post thumbnail settings.

One feed didn’t have images to post, and the other only used images from the top of the post.

Is there any way to make it so that regardless of the Post thumbnail setting and let users know in the results that there were no images?
