Just an heads up when choosing a good alternative!

You have a some spam entries but the big majority are login exploits and login injections 879 entries, please visit your account at spammaster.org and check your firewall page.

You are describing HIGH_VOLUME that’s affecting the FREE server, does not relate specifically to your sites but to the high demand on the free server hosting all free requests. You might need to upgrade the plugin to the latest version to get the correct message. You should have gotten one email only, it shoots in case of any malfunction, the email also states to wait until the scan demand on the free server drops and the connection gets re-established.

Yes, the firewall does need to be loaded on every page and you can but we do not recommend using other plugins that change this behavior.
The resources loaded are minimal and drastically cut down on resources that would be used by the millions of hits of nasty bots, spam attempts, etc.

The Spam Master Buffer is a special plugin built-in fast access kind of cache that includes firewall blocks, logs, options, etc. “79 entries” is a conjunction of all that. That number can grow to hundreds or thousands without issues and auto cleans itself.

The current stable php version is 7.4. We already tested with php 8 without issues and further tests will be conducted when version 8 becomes standard.

It’s really not a good idea to use VPNs to access your website. Most of the vpn ip’s are already listed in our databases.
Also, in case of trouble you may use our email for direct contact with us.

The page you are referring is the firewall.
Sorry for that, I guess you got caught by the plugin upgrade to version 6.5.1. There were a few issues in some websites where the plugin detected flooding and to protect the website redirected traffic to the firewall.
That’s all fixed now and running pretty stable in version 6.6.3. Might want to give it a try.

I only know that their API version 1 was much better (lots of options) than the current v2. This all started when microsoft bought linkedin and launched v2.
