It appears that it was a conflict with a plugin called ‘Perf Matters’. Deactivating and then reactivating the plugin fixed the issue. It seems bizarre to me that doing so would fix an issue, but I’m not going to argue ??

I’ve sent a note to the plugin author as well.

Thanks for your super speedy response, and for keeping these tools updated. It’s tremendously valuable to be able to turn off all the new UI stuff WordPress keeps releasing (Gutenberg, new widgets, etc.)

Will setting the forum as no-index also apply it to all topics and replies?

Can TSF at some point in the future detect hidden/private state? Seems like a useful thing to do to prevent accidentally putting private forums in the index.

Thanks for the share. Unfortunately this doesn’t do exactly what i need. I want to require users to be friends before they can message – we’ve had a few instances of a spammer registering and spamming a bunch of users before we could shut down their account, so want to put more barriers in their way to the initial spam

I never got it to work and ended up removing the plugin.
If this gets added I’ll try it again.

I think I may have another problem on one of my sites where critical css isn’t generated correctly (I only have a single forum topic that sits in the queue as ‘new’ forever, and critical css never seems to generate any rules.

Is there a way to understand why it’s not being sent and rules created?
on critical css site I don’t see requests going through. Have tried resaving API key (says is Valid), but still no luck.

For my use case at least, wildcard with children is all I need, I don’t need multiple wildcards.
I’m really just looking to wildcard out the BuddyPress URL structure that adds username into the middle of the URL.

Do you do any caching of the mysql query?
I imagine most folks (myself included) have a fairly static list of plugin filters, so if there was a way to execute once and cache that may speed things up a little.
