In reply to: [Avatar Manager] Can't edit posts with this plug-in activated. No sir. I had to turn off my sharing plug-in as the authors REALLY want their picture on the page. I guess I’ll have to look for some other solution.
Thanks for your efforts.

In reply to: [Avatar Manager] Can't edit posts with this plug-in activated.Sure thing.
The blog is blog.expertpages.com
Currently I have Shareaholic deactivated and your plugin active because some of the authors complained their image was not visible. But we really need both.
Plugins installed are:
Akismet – NOT active
Avatar Manager – Active
Featured Image In Rss Feed – Active
Google XML Sitemaps – Active
Post Teaser – Active
Shareaholic | share buttons, analytics, related content – NOT Active
WP-SpamFree – Active
WP User Avatar – Not Active
All are the latest versionsThanks for any assistance you can provide.
Just FYI – I installed Avatar Manager as a replacement for WP User Avatar and now I can not edit any posts (the textarea does not show up) if Shareaholic is active.
Avatar Manager Version 1.5.1 | By C?t?lin Dogaru
Again, not sure whose code it is but a definite compatibility issue.

In reply to: [Avatar Manager] Can't edit posts with this plug-in activated.A little more info. This appears to be an issue where someone is not playing nice with other plug-ins. It turns out that disabling the Shareaholic plug-in corrects the issue.
Is it your code or their code?
It looks like the other plug-in has several issues playing well with others so I considered this problem resolved.
Thanks again for your help.

Hey Mary Anne. (You should have my email by now). The site is https://blog.expertpages.com/
Good call. The problem is caused by a conflict with another Plug-In (I was able to duplicate this with yet another plugin).
There is some issue with WP User Avatar by Flippercode that doesn’t allow your code to work with theirs (or vice versa). I’ll advise them too and maybe you all can figure it out.
Thanks for the awesome support. We really appreciated it.

Hi,
Yes, a couple of specific examples.
Note: The problems seem to ONLY affect the Admin functions while the website front-end seems to be fine.
When I click Dashboard and go to the Updates page I get a 500 server error.
Also, when I try to add a new post, only part of the page loads.
This happened in IE 11 but I have had reports of the same exact issues in Chrome as well.
If you do NOT see this issue, then there may be some other issue I need to deal with.
After I deactivate your plugin, the issues goes away and everything seems fine. I tried deleting the plugin completely and doing a clean re-install but the same thing happened. All this started AFTER updating to WP 4.1
Thanks for any insight you might have.
Woody

I think there may be a cookie issue, but if not, try changing the verification code in the database (with phpmyadmin it is easy).
I hope that helps you.

In reply to: Admin Page Not LoadingSo here is the thing with this problem. Clearly WordPress has serious cookie issues.
1. Delete all cookies (or at least ALL and I do mean ALL of your site’s cookies).
2. Close all open web browsers (ALL of them).
3. Now go to your sire and click the Login link.
4. You should now be able to login and everything.Good luck
p.s. I had problems changing my password, but they may be related to the cookie issue. I’ll be posting the solution in a new thread.
