In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Scheduled backups not runningYes, I clicked that and it shows two old backups from December 2023, and the manual backup that the client did on May 5. But no scheduled backups.

Is there a way I can email you the error file instead of posting it here?
Following up, the hosting company enabled debug mode, which showed a string of error messages. Some of those had to do with Easy WP SMTP. However, since the Icegram Express allows visitors to sign up for notifications of new blog posts, it must use smtp – could this be where the conflict is coming in? If the site is still in debug mode, you can see the error messages displayed at the top of the page. The client requested the host turn off debug so the error wouldn’t show, but that hasn’t happened as of yet. If by the time you read this, they’ve turned it off, I can provide a .txt file with the error messages.

We do know the domain registrar, and the current treasurer is taking steps to regain control of the account from them, but it’s taking a long time due to the documents required and the fact that this deceased treasurer left almost NO paper trail so that whoever would succeed her would have access. The domain is in no danger of expiration – it’s good for another two years, which is one reason the current treasurer had not taken more vigorous steps to gain access to the account before now. One suggestion put forward by the board of the organization was to purchase a new domain and have that point to the current site while the whole registrar account thing is being sorted out.

Thanks. I knew this website always hovers close to the limit, but this time it had gone over and I wasn’t informed. Deleted some junk and the plugin updated fine.
Thanks, that worked. I had to break it up into four pages of 500 each, but it worked. Now need to address why getting so much SPAM even with the recaptcha enabled.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Quick Edit causes event to deleteIt seems that the problem is caused by a little outdated plug-in named “Slideshow” by Stefan Boonstra. It was last updated 2 years ago, but I have quite a few slide shows on this website that I really don’t wish to have to re-create. So maybe I’ll just have to do without “Quick Edit” for the time being, until I have time to recreate the slide shows using a more updated plugin. Unless there’s a workaround…?

In reply to: [Newsletters] Newsletter plugin disappeared!It does not appear on the Plugins page. I tried reinstalling manually under “Add New”, but it says Installation failed: Destination folder already exists. I don’t have the zip file so I can’t do the zip file install.

In reply to: Problem after DNS changeMy concern is that at the moment I am only able to access the dashboard through the preview link, but can’t make any changes on the site through that, which is why I had to edit my hosts file so that pointing to the actual domain name would take me to the new site instead of the old one. It never used to be this complicated, but since my web host migrated to a new Linux server I can no longer use the preview link to make changes on the site. I’m afraid that when the DNS change propagates, I won’t be able to access the Dashboard through the actual domain url.
