In reply to: [Web Stories] Listing for Stories, Templates, and Layouts missing@luckynasan – will do.
Question, I’m assuming the in-dev plugin will replace the current one, yes? Also, do you want me to capture just the console errors or the network errors also?
One thing – when I visit the link you provided for Github, under Assets folder those files are not listed.
It just has:
web-stories-wp/assets/
/images

In reply to: [Web Stories] Ads not showing@fahadurrehmankhan1 – couple things I’ve noticed. Like @luckynasan mentioned, the ads trickle in. Check out you Adsense reports Ad Units. It will tell you if they are showing.
Plus, I’ve heard (not by Google) that the Google Adsense will show after the 7th scene/slide.

Yes, these issue still occur, however, the console error log shows a slightly different error msg. (see link to screenshots below – Web Stories Incognito Dev Console Msg.jpg)

In reply to: [Web Stories] 1.3.0 Monetization Option Not Visible Under Settings@swissspidy blockers? What kind of blockers would/could be installed that would block this?
1.) I did try it in incognito and it worked, however…
What is the Slot ID? Is this something that is predefined in my Adsense setup?
Back to blockers? I have zero installed that I’m aware of, but now wonder what would have blocked me in regular browser versus incognito?
I will say this. If I want to check my adsense account, I have to login to it from an incognitco window because I get a Google msg that wants to log me out of all my other Google accounts (there is like 3-4 accounts).
But, while in WordPress, I can get to Adsense in normal browser if I go through the link in Google Site Kit. Wild.
Let me know. Also, how will Adsense work in Web Stories. Do I sent the locations/pages where the Adsense ads fill, or does Google take care of everything?
Thank you for all you do. I know you are the main developer on this so I am extremely appreciative to get to talk with you.

In reply to: [Web Stories] 1.3.0 Monetization Option Not Visible Under SettingsHi @swissspidy – yes, I am the admin. Not sure how to add a screenshot to these posts, so I just uploaded the screenshot to our site.
The screenshot contains 3 items.
1. the Editor Settings page/tab
2. at the bottom a screenshot are my WP credentials.
3. below that is a screenshot showing that Web Stories plugin was updated. Also, I tried logging in and out of WP. In addition, I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin and that has no affect either.

In reply to: [Web Stories] How to know (for sure) what the html tag is for a text element@swissspidy — thank you for your comment and insight.
This is ‘very’ interesting. So, the plug-in text option presets are just for style (size, font) which is great to know.
I try to stay tight with structure and SEO and always thought the two supported each other. H1 – Topic of story, H2 – sub topic & supports H1, H3 – supports H2 topic, paragraph – supports H2 and H3.
Very similar to the rules of MLA style of writing.
To help us build better stories, should we think of each scene as content (h2, h3 p) to the H1 – Cover page title, and just let Google do it’s magic on indexing the story the way they will?
Ultimately, I’m trying to create stories/content that adhere to the indexing principles and provide interesting naturally flowing content/story.
Thoughts?

In reply to: [Web Stories] Burned-In Text & SEOJoel,
Let me add my 2 cents to this. For any agnst you have about the burned-in text and working through whatever issues you are having with the plugin, you will be pleasantly surprised at the results you get when you follow Google’s recommendations.
Treat everything they are putting out in terms of how to construct the story and (text/images/seo/etc) as as a receipt.
Like all receipts, you have to try them multiple times before they start to become perfect.
Each time I strictly follow the receipt the better results we see.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Web Stories] am-story-auto-adsThank you @luckynasan
Please know I was ‘deeply’ interested in getting Web Stories to work with Ad Manager/Ad Exchange based on your recommendation to @pbelushi
I’m highly focused on Web Stories and we have had amazing productivity with our stories so getting assistance to help monetization our stories using your recommendations.
Is it even possible to use Ad Manager or other ‘Best Practices’ for the Google WS Plugin.
Any insight/thoughts/help would be most appreciated.

In reply to: [Web Stories] am-story-auto-adsLuckyna,
So it does not look like Ad Manager can only be used for direct sold ads at this time. Is that correct?
Also, I’m not seeing where/how to setup Ad Exchange in Ad Manager even though I’m the administrator.

I am having the same problem. When I saw this post, I tried to upload from my computer and got an error (upload failed)
This is really strange because it was all working, then it stopped.
Is there a way to look at “behind the scenes” log files that show what’s happening?
