In reply to: Can't login to 4.0 admin page (no error message)James, Thanks for the help. It turned out that all I needed to do was reset the database and everything started working again. I really appreciate your help. Keep up the good work.

In reply to: Can't login to 4.0 admin page (no error message)I will work on that tonight and get back to you with the result. In the mean time, I’m not sure if it is connected to this issue but there is a bunch of code appearing on the left of my page that has something to do with a “database error” and the wp-options.php file. Can you take a look at that and let me know if you have any thoughts? thanks.

In reply to: Can't login to 4.0 admin page (no error message)Ok I tried that. I changed the folder name to Themes_temp and there was no change in the login issue.

In reply to: [event manager extended] strange map problemI got it worked out, thanks. For some reason if you put CA for California it puts you off the coast of west Africa but if you type the whole state name in it works.

In reply to: [picture perfect theme] no "posted on" date for most recent postThat’s great. thanks man. I actually ended up finding some code from the singlepage.php file that did the same thing in a way that was a little more consistent with the theme. But I wouldn’t have known where to put it without your help so thanks.

In reply to: [picture perfect theme] no "posted on" date for most recent postI’m afraid that didn’t do it. I copied the code you gave me and it didn’t seem to have any affect. my page code now looks like this:

In reply to: Formidable forms – not receiving emailsI apologize I was actually thinking of the settings on a similar but different plug-in that I am also using and works in a similar way. For Formidable I just went to the “form notification options” at the bottom of the screen when you are making your form and typed in the address that I want the form response sent to. I hope this helps.

In reply to: Formidable forms – not receiving emailswhich method are you using for sending the mail from the form? If you are using smtp I can’t help because I couldn’t get that to work either. I ended up just selecting the php mailer option and it worked just fine. I don’t do a lot of code or anything so I don’t know all the reasons why but that seemed to work for me.
hope this helps.

In reply to: [Plugin: Formidable] A couple feature requestsI know this was posted a while ago but I am having the same issue. I have checked the “use Akismet” box but I still get a ton of spam in my email through the form. Is there anyway to use a graphic code box or something so that this doesn’t happen?
thanks.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-Weather] Short Code in sidebar instead of widgetI tried this and it worked in that it made the text widget recognize code. I was excited until I noticed that all of my page tabs on the menu had reverted back to the original text that came on the theme. I put the code that you gave in your first example in right after the <?php> tag and then I tried it right before the ?> tag and both had the same effect. I’d love to get this to work as I am using it with a file listing program that does not have a widget. If I can avoid it harming the rest of the page it should work really well.
thanks for the info.
