To be honest i stopped with WP and went to Adobe Muse, Muse is 40 times faster in designing, much much much more freedom and it has come along way from what it use to be, CEO friendly, design friendly.

I don’t work for an agency or anyone that is pro Muse, i’m a user who likes it.

It is 2016 and i had this issue as Original Poster, the fix he suggested worked!

So what i figured out was i went into myPHPadmin and went into post meta section and post terms section, deleted slugs from post terms but it did nothing.

Went into WordPress and pages, emptied the trashcan and then i didn’t get that #2 at the end of my link so that told me it cleared out the data completely. Apparently when you trash something WP still see’s it…why ? its in trash.

So i have an issue now where i have a category named 1234car and when clicked it should go to 1234car but it redirects you somewhere else.?

Will this process in Dreamweaver have the site exactly how it looks in my WP site that is online or will it be the hello world ?

BTW, i have to child themes set up

Hi bemdesign, you nailed it. I want to take my current WP site (its a theme i bought) and edit, add and modify a few things but in DW.

I used Duplicator and stopped at the point where i had to get into my CPanel on my hosted server.

But the tutorials i saw with duplicator; download files and then uploaded them i guess to another web server but didnt show how to edit them in DW.

But i tried 2 ways, first i installed WAMP>then WP offline, set the credentials and after this, i viewed my site in WP offline and it looked very basic and nothing like my actual live site.

So i thought i was the way i imported from my live WP…then i found duplicator and it looked promising, but it didn’t show how to edit offline, the tutorials seemed to just duplicate the site and transfer to another web host.

The home page is pulling shortcode for the blocks, like i want to replace then BG color of the block under”our latest product”

I have a theme i purchased and working of that, all i would like to do is change BG color per page.

Side note i went into editor and under style sheet i do not see where i can edit it, just some stuff about the theme.

I think i found something i can play with that is similar to what i want on the Pencil link above, its this https://scrollme.nckprsn.com/

But quick question, when i press the button on top “play on codepen” it gives me 3 things, HTML< CSS and JS, do all these work hand and hand or do i neeed to edit and use one ?

i see, ok so i would search javascript word press plugin, my fear when buying theme would be modifying it and that i would have to loop througe code to get it done, does my fear sound right ? ??

haha im not sure even what to call this to start looking but i bought a theme , its a woocommerce theme, if i find the pre built plug in; how would i add it to the page ? right now i’m using short codes to pull products to the home page.

You can use the Themify Builder plugin on any WordPress theme you would like as it is built using the WordPress framework. Just note, you will need to purchase the stand-alone plugin (https://themify.me/builder) to use it on a third-party WordPress theme. The Builder that’s built in to all our Themify themes cannot be extracted and used on another theme.
