Hi Adam and thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to help me with this urgent issue! That did the trick. I could Reset Site Kit and then reconnect the site with the relative Google Account. Thanks for the great support. Resetting Site Kit was the one thing I hadn’t tried.
No… I will try that right away.
I tried disabling plugins and disabling the theme and I still get the message: Site Kit has already been configured by another Admin of the site (This admin user has been deleted) and then when I try to connect I get the same “the request to the authentication proxy has failed” message. I’m optimizing the database now and will try again.
Hi again, I am in Switzerland and the site is hosted on a Swiss provider. Did you receive the site health information I sent through the form? I will now take a look at the troubleshooting steps…
And a link to Site Health which is 100% ok: https://imgur.com/fL1UAfT

Hi, and thanks so much for your help with this issue. When I go to my WordPress dashboard, I click on the left on Site Kit > Dashboard and get a page with “Connect your Google Account” and a big blue button, “Sign in with Google” On the upper top corner I only have a question mark symbol that leads to support. When I click on “Sign in with Google” I get the message “The request to the authentication proxy has failed. Please, try again later.”
BTW: There was a former administrator to the site who has now been removed. Could this be the issue? If so, how can we refresh or override the old coordinates?
Hi, I’m not sure if I need to start a new thread but I am having the exact same problem as Dave, on this website: https://casavinosargentinos.ch. This website was rebuilt using Divi and Site Kit was reinstalled. Now, I cannot connect the plugin to the google account and am getting the same error message as he is: “The request to the authentication proxy has failed”. The site health is perfect. Thanks for any help with this issue.
SabraHi Jim,
Thanks so much for your kind help with this. I am new to the plugin and really appreciate it. Your clear instructions solved my problem. I hadn’t realized that the editor option activates or deactivates the WordPress content area.
Hope you have a great day,
SabraI have tried emptying the Pods cache, deactivating all my plugins and changing to a standard WordPress theme, all with no results. Thanks for any advice.
After disabling all the plugins I was using on the second website the newsletter editor is working normally. I discovered that it doesn’t work when I have the plugin, WP Backitup activated. I can only edit my Newsletters in the visual editor when WP Backitup is not active.
Thanks once more for a great plugin.
SabraHi,
I just tried to install your Newsletter plugin on a second site I am working on and am having the same problem I mentioned above. The visual editor is not responding. Though I can view the bottom of the newsletter, I cannot scroll to view the entire contents (there is no scrollbar on the right). I have tried this on both Windows and mac on Firefox, Chrome and Safari. The code editor is working fine but it makes it really difficult to edit. I would really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks…

In reply to: [NextGEN Download Gallery] Zip file not opening properly in Firefox for macHi Ross,
Thanks so much for your extremely helpful replies!!! I tried this and the download worked beautifully in Firefox. The CSS also works except that I had to add:.ngg-galleryoverview p { display: none; }
because the title was showing up twice, once as an h3 and once as a paragraph…
I appreciate the time you took to explain this issue to me.
SabraI’m sorry it took me so long to respond. Thanks so much for your courteous reply. I will try this.
