In reply to: Remove the new dns-prefetch codeMaybe it’s supposed to improve performance, but in reality all I’ve seen it do is slow websites down.
And yes the 404 error is important.
Seriously, all this just get an IP address?
- Why would the browser even need the IP address for www.ads-software.com when loading my website?
- And DNS loading time is typically insignificant when it comes to page load speed.
- And a 404 during the prefetch slows the page load time by seconds not the milliseconds a DNS takes. Doesn’t it? Wouldn’t the browser try to make that connection to get an IP address (the whole point of prefetch) and then have to wait for a response, of which 404 is one of the slowest.

In reply to: [Easy Modal] Plugin 'calls home'“They all require it ” They? Who is “They”?
also:
“You are literally calling out nearly 20-25% of plugin developers that sell plugins”
Nothing wrong with that. I certainly feel the repository really isn’t the place for selling things. Even if they are awesome things at great prices. Even if it IS allowed.
And I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.
Maybe your product is awesome, I’ve tried it and it didn’t do what I needed, doesn’t mean it’s not good or isn’t worth selling, but it’s just not cool to sell crap in the WordPress repository and if you do, you should expect more than a little grief for it. Even if it is allowed now.

In reply to: [Interface] Interface Thema ( Cant change the footer )line 135 of footer-extenstions.php in the inc/structure directory is a line you can edit to change everything in the copyright div. you have to know basic PHP though.
They are one of the shady company’s that only place a theme in the WordPress directory to create SEO links for their website. I thought WordPress banned that practice a long time ago.
This theme has other glaring problems too…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Update to 3.8.1. Could not copy files. Installation failed.@dtlaadmin
You just need to bite the bullet and get a new theme or have the old one updated (it’s most likely that your old theme is using an older version of jQuery). You also need to release that this will happen again at some point in the future, no matter what CMS you use and budget accordingly.
typically we recommend that businesses update the layout (or theme) of their website every 1-2 years. Huge advanced in technology (and design happen very fast when it comes to the internet.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Attirbutes still don't work with WP 3.5.2Thanks for checking for the obvious. Yes, I found this article an viewed it. Since the latest update the variation section does appear when you change the product to variant (It didn’t before the update)
But still those drop downs at the top that show you what attributes (right above the SKU field), you are setting prices for aren’t there and when you try to Link variant it throws an error message saying no variants were linked.I guess this is a step in the right direction but it’s still impossible to add even a single variant.
Thanks mikejolly for making sure I haven’t missed the obvious. I guess since I said attributes instead of variants, I can see why you thought I was missing the obvious, but I’m not.
Now that that’s out of the way, please no one else assume I’m not doing it right and just try it for yourself. I’m seeing lots of other people saying the variants aren’t working.
