Update. I think it has to do with Word Press showing my site in mobile view. There are no icons in the customize section to show the views so I can’t change it.

I found the issue.

I had been getting the featured image on all the pages and posts so I had gone to Content Options and unchecked “display on pages.” I checked it again and the image is shown only on the home page. (for now.)

This is what has been happening. I have three sites. I tried WP Staging on one site and as I wrote, the images do not show. There was a big orange notice saying WP Staging has not been tested with WordPress 5.5.3. So I changed the version back to 5.5.1 hoping this would fix the problem. Nope.

Another site uses Word Press 5.5.1 and the images are showing. This is why I reverted the problem site to 5.5.1 as well. So now I need to figure out this new mystery of why one site works and one does not.

I realize I am using the free version, and paid members come first. That’s why I probably need to figure this out myself.

The problem was with the reCAPTCHA. It takes a long time and the arrows spin, then it tells me the reCAPTCHA has timed out.

It works now.

As for my original issue: I am being asked to provide FTP information now. I sent you the system information you asked for. Could you find anything in that file to help the problem?

I went to media settings and unchecked “organize my uploads into month and year based folders.” It didn’t work.

I’m wondering if the problem could be permissions, or what folder the pictures are being directed to. I read Changing File Permissions” but I don’t seem to be getting any answers from that documentation.

I read similar topics in another thread but I can’t find anything newer than about two years old.

I changes “localhost” to the file name on my computer where the install file is stored. Now I get this.

“Error Processing Request
An error occurred while testing the database connection! Please Try Again…
If the error persists contact your host for database connection requirements.
Status details: timeout”

Hello again. I contacted my host and was told that I can just create a new database myself. I did this but I am still getting a validation error.

“Unable to connect the user [********] to the host [localhost]. The server error response was: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.”

What does this mean?

In the instruction video i saw you can make up a name for your database and Duplicator will import the information into that database. Is this incorrect?

Why would I have to set one up in CPanel if Duplicator is supposed to automatically migrate the old info into the new staging site?

Doing all that now. I did a theme check and WOW do I have a ton of errors.

I don’t think there is a way to send a link of what I am talking about since it is a drop down list. The drop down list of times for the event only lets me list on the hour. I need to be able to list times on the half hour.
