In reply to: DeprecatedDo I configure that through phpMyAdmin?
The warnings were there before the new theme went in so it’s not the theme.

I removed these specified lines in the settings file. The site would not come up at all. I got a message saying, “Fatal error” and something about line 365 in another file. I didn’t want to delete line 365 and make matters worse so I put everything back in. Now, I can see my site but with the above warnings.
How can I disable these errors without disabling the entire site?
Thanks for getting back to me on this.

In reply to: DeprecatedI deleted the settings but now nothing will work. I now have to fix line 365 in the Link Template. Should I delete that?
How should I change these settings? Delete them or change the values…

In reply to: new pages not showingThanks. That worked.
I changed the permalinks back. I guess I will have to live with the ugly confusing permalinks page addresses.
I have two other WordPress sites and could change the permalinks without a problem. But someone else (experts) installed them for me.

I tried to upload a new site while keeping the old blog. Now the blog is gone. Well, it’s not gone; it just can’t be accessed. I get a 404 error. I have no idea what to do. ??

In reply to: create website in dreamweaver or wordpress?Hi, Rudi:
I have created my websites in Dreamweaver and incorporated WordPress into them. I use WordPress for updates to the sites and for related articles I wish to write.
For me, my other sites don’t lend themselves to the blog format.
I don’t know php either, but I am finding WordPress easy to maintain, once you get the hang of it. Most of it is pretty much set up for you. You pretty much just have to make changes to the default settings and plug in your information.
So, depending on the type of site you are planning, WordPress can be your main site.

In reply to: Getting a blank pageYes, all of the pages were blank. I did what you said but they are still all blank.
Could it be what I put on my config page? For instance; I used “admin” instead of “WordPress_admin”. Could that be the problem? Should I type the entire db name?
