In reply to: Login issue with new site.Yes – I had the .org and .coms reversed. I was having trouble logging into the .com (unhosted) site. As I said above after reclicking the activation link that was fixed.
I was also having trouble logging back into this support site. My user name wasn’t recognized, nor was my email address. At the time I was still logged in on another machine so don’t know if that was a factor or not.
At any rate all is now working. Thanks for offering to help. But, were I not able to log in I would not be able to give you my account name for you to research. So should similar problems occur in the future with anyone you may want to consider an alternate way to get that info to you, maybe a dummy email acct you establish just for such things.

In reply to: Login issue with new site.Apparently the first time I clicked the activation link in the email it didn’t go to the right place and activate the account. I clicked it again and got to the right screen and can now log in.
As to why I can’t log in to this forum with the user name I used to get here in the first place I don’t know. My profile shows the correct name. Perhaps it just doesn’t allow a 2nd log-in with the same name. Anyway I’m going to log out now and will see if I can get back in the next time I need help with something.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

In reply to: Login issue with new site. Thanks WebStyley but this login wasn’t for a hosted site, it was for a worpress.org acct.
Even more strangely, I attempted to log in to this forum to enter this reply on another of my computers and was told my username doesn’t exist, do I want to register it. The same username I see displayed here – thallstd. I deleted all www.ads-software.com cookies and got the same error. Fortunately I still had this window open on this computer. Maybe the other failed because this one hadn’t logged out?
I’m afraid to log out to find out !!!
