In reply to: Simple post layout with gallery slideshowHi, and thank you for your answer.
This layout is mostly in my head at the moment.
What I am after at this stage is the ability to let an image in a post be a placeholder that upon clicking displays a slideshow of selected images.
Seems like plugins like nextgen gallery links via shortcode and those links do not work when applied to an image.
The plugin defaults to showing preview of first image through the shortcode and I do not have enough control over how this (the first image/placeholder) displays on the post.
For my use – the generated display is always to big. I want to control this.
I hope this post helped to show what I am after.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menu@kharisblank – I pasted this code into my child themes style.css and got i to work in Safari, but Chrome still show the old behaviour ( with the search field jumping down one line.)
@media only screen and (min-width:1025px) {.site-header .col-md-4 {
width: 12%;
}.site-header .col-md-8 {
width: 88%;
}}
@soasmw – yes, I followed all steps outlined in this post and uses the code in a child theme.
My problem now is that the authors of the site has put too many menu points in…Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menuHi @kharisblank,
The search icon in menu still works great, however:
when we add more menu items the search field moves down to another line and is difficult to use.
Is there some code that can move the menu more left to avoid this behaviour?The site is https://hemedine.no/
Thank you,

In reply to: [Sydney] Blue lines between rows – pagebuilderUpdate.
I tried to put the above links into a submenu – and now it works.
It seems like this happened only when I just changed the last character (1-5) in the url and hit enter..
A browser issue of some kind.Anyway it seems to work now.
Thank you for you patience.

In reply to: [Sydney] Blue lines between rows – pagebuilderWhat I did was:
– new page – front page template
– pagebuilder – add new row – add Visual editor widget
– adding text
– duplicating the rows and changing text just for testing
– publishing page – go to page – view source to get the #pg-246-1 2 3 4 5 links to the headers in each widget
– testing in various browsers
– getting blue lines on and off as described in previous post
– testing with some custom css in the siteorigincss plugin:.widget:before { border: none !important; } .panel-grid-cell .widget-title { border-width: 0px; border-style: hidden; border-color: #ffffff; } .panel-row-style { border-width: 0px; border-style: hidden; border-color: #ffffff; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; }
The css seem to have no effect so far…
Would be interested to know if you can see the same behaviour in your browser?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Blue lines between rows – pagebuilderNo.
Tested with Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
Strange thing the blue lines disappear upon refreshing…Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menuHi.
This did the trick!My fault; I thought that it must be a mistake to place the code in the footers section when we tried to fix the header…
Thank you so much – it looks very elegant ??

In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menuThank you.
Still behaves like before.
Additional info:
– The mouse pointer changes to a cursor
– the “search for” message displays (upon hovering)
– text input not possibleThank you anyway,

In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menuThank you.
I pasted your code in the header section (not the footer…) of the plugin, and pasted the css in the custom.css of my child theme.
It looks good – the magnifying glass is there – transparent background and white magnifying glass.
Only problem – there is no way I can write my search in – when I hover the mouse over nothing happens – no input field.
Thank you again,

In reply to: [Sydney] Search icon in menuThank you!
It worked!Minor detail: Is it possible for the search box/field not to be white? I want the slider to show until you actually click in the field.

Hi Frank,
and thank you for bothering with my little problem.I made a temporary workaround – allowing comments and tuning the text before the comment field to look like one of the questions.
But, even better; I discovered yesterday that the “open answer” is what I can use to achieve what I want – feedback from my pupils in their own words.
This leads to yet another question: How do I grade these open ansvwers? At the moment the results page says the pupil got 2 of 3 questions right. That is the open answer not being counted in. How do to let them have a point for actually putting in text in the box?
Btw, the code used in results are %AMOUNT_CORRECT% of %TOTAL_QUESTIONS%
Looking forward to your answer.
