@jamieburchell – perfect!! That’s exactly the cause, just tested setting to false and seems to work now. Thank you for the follow up!
Thanks for coming back to me.
With respect, I’m not the only person who is getting this behaviour, so denying it’s existence and marking the support query as ‘resolved’ is not actually resolving the issue. The other support query with this issue for reference is this one – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/modal-with-0-shown-when-clicking-add-compliance-features-free-upgrade/
Anyway, if you do feel like ‘resolving’ the issue then I am happy to provide whatever background information you require. My Theme is built on roots/bedrock and roots/sage as a starting point.

In reply to: [User Switching] User Switching just stopped working on ChromeNo other changes recently John.
I also did some googling and I noticed that the cookie error is often linked to caching. We use Cloudflare for caching, so as a test I have just switched that to development mode – effectively turning it off, and that has seemingly resolved it!! Now every time it try to switch to a user is works fine. Still getting the cookies error message after clearing my data, but not able to break it.
In all honesty I have no idea what’s going on with it, but I’ll leave cloudflare off for 24 hours, then turn it back on to confirm that this is the issue.

In reply to: [User Switching] User Switching just stopped working on ChromeHi John,
Thanks for reply.
It’s Chrome 93.0.4577.82 which I think is pretty new. Nothing unusual about the https config, we redirect www to non-www and ensure all connections are https but pretty standard there.
Yes there are some issues logging in normally as I mentioned to do with the cookie message. But I’ve managed to figure a method of getting it to work in Chrome now which is this…
* I log out of WordPress admin so I’m at the admin login screen
* I then clear browsing data – all time and clear everything other than my passwords and other sign in data
* I don’t quit Chrome
* I then log in again
* First time I try to log in I get the error which says ‘Error: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.’
* I attempt to log in again with same credentials
* This time it works and I get into admin
* Now when I go to a user and attempt to switch to them it works successfullyIf I don’t follow the above process and I quit Chrome after clearing my browsing data, when go to login I don’t get any Error message about cookies and then when I try to switch to a user, this is when it fails.
It’s very odd but I’ve now replicated this on both my Mac and my sales teams PC’s and it’s the same.
In terms of any extensions, nothing of note really

In reply to: [User Switching] User Switching just stopped working on ChromeOne other thing to add on this is that I am also getting a warning about enabling cookies when I log in on Chrome – not sure if this is related in any way?

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Javascript error upon reaching CheckoutHi there, sorry for long delay… been a busy few weeks!
We’ve gone live with our re-designed checkout now which uses your plugin but these errors are actually still showing up. Doesn’t seem to be critical because we are getting orders via PayPal and everything seems fine with them, but definitely still there!

Thanks for the reply Niklas, so basically then if I want to do something like this… i.e. initiate an Express from the Checkout page, I’m going to have to build it myself using the PayPal API’s I guess? That’s effectively what you’re saying? Just so that I can go back to my boss who’s adamant that we need this kind of conversion optimisation on our Checkout page… I need to be able to point to this and let him know he’s in for months of dev work!! I’m sure he’ll love me for that!

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Javascript error upon reaching CheckoutHi Andreas, yes those are my settings. I have tried deactivating the plugin and just to be sure I cleared my cache and cookies, but I’m still getting the error I’m afraid.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Testing plugin on localhost – possible?Apologies… ignore this question, I’ve found the reason! Some custom checks I put in to detect country and obviouly country isn’t being detected on localhost!
OK great, well it’s working now so I am able to test things.
On the general flow, when I’m testing it using my Sandbox personal account, I click paypal from the basket and am taken to the Paypal popup where I choose my payment method and address. When I click Continue in the PayPal window, I’m taken back to my site which now redirects to the Checkout. Now on the checkout, my address is filled in from PayPal and all of the other payment methods are hidden. I’m now required to press Place Order to complete my order. Is this more or less a summary of how things ‘should’ be working?
I’ve got a few questions on this:
Obviously until customers click ‘Place order’ on the checkout page, their order isn’t complete, however my PayPal personal account is showing a transaction. On Woo the order status is ‘pending payment’. What happens now if the customer does not click Place Order – how does the plugin reconcile the fact that the order has not been completed?
When I was in the PayPal popup my price was without shipping, however when I come back to the checkout page, my price is WITH shipping – so in our case it’s £10 higher than was shown in the Paypal popup. When I did click ‘Place order’ on the checkout page, my order completed and the transaction on my Paypal personal account was correct. I’m not sure what you ‘could’ do, but is this expected behaviour that the price shown in the Popup will be different to the actual transaction amount once the order is placed?
On our site, we’ve got some fairly complicated things going on with Address validation when customers reach the Checkout page and some of the javascript is causing the address fields to empty. I will have to amend the logic here if I’m going to use this plugin which is fine, but could you give me some advice on how I would go about capturing the address info coming back from PayPal?
Sorry for long questions but hope you can help!

Thanks for reply Niklas, I’ve disconnected and reconnected to my Default App on my developer account and it seems to have sorted it.
I do have another question about the general flow though – OK to ask here or start another thread for that?

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Pay in 3 Option not workingHi,
I’m adding my findings to this thread, UK here too using a Sandbox account, all necessary Pay in 3 settings are enabled, but no Pay in 3 messaging is being displayed. Plus I randomly have a ‘sofort’ option – whatever that’s for?? And an unwanted ‘Credit/Debit Card’ payment option which is extremely confusing considering we have Sagepay (Opayo) which already does that!
Thanks
Hi,
Just jumping in on this thread as I have a question if you don’t mind.
Also a UK store here and getting the Sofort and ‘Debit or Credit Card’ buttons which I don’t want – @niklasinpsyde, you said ‘If you enable the PayPal Card Processing, the Credit Cards will be removed from the default payment frame and instead move to a separate radio button with a simplified credit card checkout experience.‘ where would I do that? Is that on the plugin settings (I can’t see it), or is it on the Sandbox account settings somewhere?
I’m also not seeing the Pay in 3 messaging even though it’s enabled in the plugin settings – I’m clearly doing something wrong!
Actually… I’ll ask it here.. it makes more sense.
From what I understand, there are 2 different things here – PayPal Credit and Pay Later – are both of these things controlled by the Enable PayPal Credit messages checkbox – which is currently unavalable for me?
Does the PayPal Checkout plugin support both these things (if it wasn’t disabled for me in the UK)?
Thanks
KevinGreat thank you @corsonr I have another query regarding PayPal Credit but I’ll start a new thread for that
