No – it has still remained unchanged. I even tried to change it again using the incognito window.
I go to the Document Tab and change the Poster Image file. Click Update (since it is already published). It shows the new image in the Document Tab. I back out to the Stories Dashboard where all of my Stories are listed, it has reverted back. When I go back into the Story, Click on Document Tab, it is the old image.

Hi @adamdunnage – I have 1.23.1 installed and the issue is not resolved. I am unable to change the poster image.

However
The correct poster image DOES show up on the Archives page. It’s only in the Stories Dashboard that it does not update.

I first noticed this started happening when trying to create a Web Story on Thursday. I usually start by Duplicating a story and the first thing I do is change the Poster Image. It will allow me to upload a new one and it will show in the Document tab, but once I press Save, it will revert back to the original stories Poster image.

Everything works perfect.

I reactivated WP optimize and excluded the web stories and it works great! Thanks!!

Do you recommend another plugin that will help speed up the site?

OK – I tested it. I activated the Twenty Twenty Two Theme. The link above (Rae Lakes Loop) will work on desktop Chrome, but still not on Iphone 12 Pro.

I know if I go in and Click Update it will work, but I am leaving that one as is so you can replicate the issue.

Would you like me to keep the Twenty Twnety Two Theme activated or can I switch it back?

I am using an Iphone 12 Pro.
I just tried incognito and it did not work.
I have feedback from others using multiple devices that they are not working either.
This is incredibly frustrating because there is no rhyme or reason as to when one is working or not.

Same exact issue. It happens to all of my stories.

Additional Note: If I go back and Update the Web Story, it will work on all platforms for a bit, but will eventually the screen will go back to the White Screen on the IPhone.

@adamdunnage I shared the site health using that form. My site health varies between “Good” and “Needs Improvement” so if there is anything on there that you see as a flag, please let me know.

@adamdunnage Yes, it definitely has a poster image set. all of my stories do.

See the same link. I added in another Web Stories block just under the original “8Tips For Travel” Web stories Block – this one set to Latest Stories and Carousel. Here, the thumbnails are just grey blocks instead of the Poster Image.
