In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedA local Romanian host.
It seems all the issues were linked to the Suhosin values suhosin.post.max_totalname_length & suhosin.request.max_totalname_length. They were unable to bump them up to 65535, which was too high of a value for a shared environment.
Everything else was set up according to Woocommerce guidelines.
They offered to disable Suhosin and it all works fine now. What remains is to assess the risks involved.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedI have tested a new vanilla install on a different hosting provider, this time without SUHOSIN installed and PHP 5.4.45. Everything works perfectly.
At this time all clues point at a problem on the hosting provider’s side.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedI am not sure I understand the difference between price and manual price. I see no option for manual price.
Anyway, it seems that now, either caused by me fiddling about or by something else, no variation data is being saved. Nothing.
I disabled MOD_SECURITY, no joy.
I also forgot to mention that WP Submit protect is installed and I got no warnings so far.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedI found the Cpanel error log. It is empty. I have a couple of error logs created in the wordpress root folder, but I think that’s because I set WP_DEBUG to true. The only logged error is
PHP Deprecated: Automatically populating $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA is deprecated and will be removed in a future version. To avoid this warning set ‘always_populate_raw_post_data’ to ‘-1’ in php.ini and use the php://input stream instead. in Unknown on line 0

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedI’m on a shared hosting server with Cpanel 56.0.21. I have looked for a PHP error log, but couldn’t find it. Maybe I am missing something.
Should I contact the hosting company (they’re very responsive) and ask them to look for something in particular?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product variations – prices are not being savedI’m sorry, I formulated that wrong. I meant to emphasize that the prices are the only ones not being saved.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] The spinning arrow is loading, and loading…Same simtomps as above. My experience:
Step1: Fresh wordpress install, with the default theme. No plugins installed except CF7, working fine.
Step2: Installed NextGen plugin, refresh, everything working fine.
Step3: Closed and reopened address, not working anymore.
Step4: Reinstalled wordpress, no plugins except CF7 (deleted even Akismet and Dolly). This time not working right from the start.IE version: 8.0.6, CF7 2.2
Webserver (if relevant): XAMPP testserver under Win 7.
Access to my testserver and wp installation only by request since it’s not secured. Ym: alienmurderer
