Hi Champ Camba, thanks for such prompt response! Yep, i’d originally moved it away from the user page (and changed to account page) because the edit dropdown menu on the user page was being cut off. Since your message, i’ve reverted and done some CSS to fix the issue (it was a divi thing). All good now.

I’m a bit confused why there is both an account page AND a profile page – both have name dets seemingly populated from the registration/profile forms but account section has email and password and profile section has photo and description. And the phone number from the registration doesn’t populate the account section…Seems like there should be only one or the other (profile or account page)?

If the email/username/first/last names can be populated from the registration form, do you know if there’s a way to get the phone to do the same thing and we can then drop the profile section entirely?

I should also say just in case anyone has the same request, that I needed to make the registration page private (pages/quick edit) so that it didn’t show on the front end for non members.

We just got it sorted. Turns out the client hadn’t paid a bill with eWay and once done and keys re-entered, all was fine. Hopefully it’s that easy for you!

Weirdly looking back at my old backups there are some sites that don’t show as having that .htaccess update until mid 2020 even though i’d done work on them between 2019 and then. So not quite sure how that worked out.

Does anyone from WordPress or anyone know what date (even just month and year) they started adding the warning to the .htaccess that code would be overwritten? At some point, the code went from:

Hi Euler, thanks very much for the response! Out of curiosity, is there any way to tell how often it gets overwritten? Is it specific to full releases or maintenance updates etc? Is there any way to tell or log of some description? Even though I understand in future I won’t put info between the # BEGIN … / # END – it just would be good to know so i can go back to the client.
