Thank you for taking the time to reply. I deleted both the form and the page that we were having trouble with and have since re-written both from scratch. If the error occurs again (unfortunately we will just have to wait until a customer purchases a printed children’s voucher to see!) I will forward the requested information. It is just weird that it was only happening with the Children’s Experiences!!

We don’t know what browsers our customers are using and the error doesn’t replicate on ours – unfortunately I’m our of my depth here when it comes to checking error logs, I only know that WordPress doesn’t see any errors on their end. It has happened again this morning, a customer purchased a voucher with a printed copy from the same form (this time a one hour for one child) and it only charged ￡2.25, it seems to happen with every option on the form but only when the customer chooses to have a printed copy. It only happens on the Children’s Experiences page; all of our other forms work correctly. Out of sheer desperation, I have deleted both the page and the form and re-written them both in case it is a problem with the page itself when the customer submits payment. If this does not solve the error, I will be forced to look for an alternative to Forminator, as this error is driving us all crazy – we hate having to ring our customers to get the balance of the payment from them!

Hi,

It’s happened again. This is the fourth time the form has been submitted without the required field and without charging our customer for their voucher (instead, it is just taking payment for the postage). This is since I re-wrote the form and updated to the latest version of forminator. “Your Voucher” is a required field. “Printed copy” was optional. Calculation for Stripe is {radio-1}+{radio-2}. It only seems to be happening on the Children’s Bird Handling Experiences. I still cannot replicate the error. I do not understand why this keeps happening.

We have lost patience with it and removed the option to have a printed voucher for now – it is awful having to ring customers to explain there has been an error with the website and to ask them for payment of the balance for their voucher. We are now instead asking customers to telephone us if they want printed vouchers, and we will process their payments over the telephone. This is inconvenient for us and our customers, as it means they cannot buy printed vouchers outside of our office hours.

Is anyone able to explain how the forms are being submitted without a REQUIRED field and how to fix it?

Hi,

I wrote it to be exactly the same as the previous form. I have just updated forminator with the most recent available. We are basically now waiting to see if the issue happens again since I re-wrote the form! I just need someone to buy a voucher for a children’s experience and request a posted copy…!

We still haven’t been able to replicate the issue ourselves so I do wonder if it is related to specific (older?) internet browsers.

It happened again today for the third time, despite everything we’ve tried to correct it, so clearly still not resolved. I deleted the form and re-wrote it. Will just have to wait and see if it happens again!

Thank you for this – no, I couldn’t replicate it either!! So probably just an odd glitch, as you say. This is a brand new website to us so this is the first time this has happened, if it happens again we will report it accordingly. Thank you for checking it for us though!
